Ha ha these finally hit the shelves! I'm no hotwheels collector but I knew they were coming out this year so I've been watching (with the help of my son). I Think I cleaned out the three local Walmarts today. Going to keep looking. Not sure why I've gone loco over these little diecasts but all be damned if anyone else in boise is getting one (screwy)....

So far I've found about four regular cards and four short cards per walmart. Havn't seen them anywhere else yet. I have about 18 of them now... Bwaa haa haa

Awesome! I was at Walmart earlier but didn't see any. I'll have to check the one by my office during my lunch break tomorrow! lol

Serious question: did Hot Wheels or any other diecast company ever make one of the P5?

I believe Marksp_20 from australia got a little plastic toy 323F but that's the closest i've seen. I think penny racers was the brand or something, and it has very cartoonish styling.

I've got a really nice and detailed scale model of my 09 Bullitt Mustang, but havent seen any good P5/protege models

Mazda doesn't get any love from the toy world; aside from the RX7. I suppose thats a contributing factor in my sudden hoarding of these ones.

so... question: what do you do with 11+ identical hotwheel?

if i saw it at the store, I would probably get one... but i dont know what i would do with 11.

Get AMM status and sell them on the forums! lol

If/when I find them I'll grab at least three....one for my desk, one for my son and one to keep sealed in the package....'cause ya never know. lol

I was sort of planning on distributing them to fellow mazda lovers since many might not be aware of it. But like I stated in the first post reason does not apply here.... ha ha. And its 17 not 11..

I started in 1968 .....now my sons are into it too.... we have "a few hundred" ..give or take...I only collect the muscle cars now.

Cool little die-cast...amazing car. I'll have to check my local walmart and see if i can find one to put on my desk at work.

So has anyone else loaded up on these?

I found this at Target today. It was the only doublepack in the entire store, the copyright is 2009 and I am very confused. So glad I decided to stop in and just check. No regular furai's yet. Target's around here suck for keeping their hotwheels stocked up.

Also, I've never seen the wheels on the 1970 roadrunner either.

I'm up to 26 Furai's, not including the one I opened and my son took. I guess that makes me the record holder of the most 1st release Mazda Furai hotwheels. ha ha, the hunt continues.

Forgot to post in this thread but a few weeks ago I scored three silver Furai at Toysrus and last night scored two red Furai at Target.
