I was thinking that my trunk is too damn empty and when I do go grocery shopping I barely use any of the trunk space. So I figured I'd fab up a box and put a 15" LCD monitor in the trunk to run with my AVICN1, Fosgate amps and Sub. I figured I'd buy a 15" LCD for about $350 from my job, but my question is wether or not a TV made for the home would have any problems with the heat in the trunk of a car?

The manufaturer should be able to give you an operating temperature limit. However, I'm doubting it will. Although I am more worried about its ability to resist vibrations

I doubt that it would be even turned on unless I'm showing the trunk, so even when the unit is off you think the vibrations would affect it?

Yep, the display and electronics may not be designed to get knocked around that much.

yeah your main concern will be the vibration of daily driving this is one of the reasons car audio gear is more expensive. theres allot more involved with making things hold up under constant abuse.
