My new project ride

For those of you who remember me I had the 2002 Mazda Protege that was pretty much for show and that was about it. Well I'm in the process of parting that out and getting rid of it. I have now gotten a 1995 Mitsubishi Eclipse GST that has already had a lot done to it.

I plan on changing up a few things on it including the paint and interior in the very near future. Here are some pics and below that is the mod list of it.

Wow say it ain't so! I remember meeting you this past year at HIN and seeing your Pro for the first time. Looks like you lucked out with the Mitsu though, nice ride! Did you purchase it from someone in your car club?

Thanks and yeah this belonged to my best friend who is in my club. Ever since I have known him he has had this car and I have helped him without it here and there throughout the years. I have always admired it too and when he put it up for sale I thought I wanted to take it on. It is a lot of fun to drive thats for sure.

Looks good! I recommend ditching the body kit and going all red:

I knew this guy back in school. I forget the year but it's a GSX and last time I checked he had upwards of 600 awhp and was running pure ethanol. He's in the process of switching from a manual to an automatic though (huh)

Something about the auto putting the power to the ground better with so much power. It isn't going to be your standard auto transmission though.

LOL, I just realized that my fiance's and my ass are in that pic (left side looking into the T-topped Supra). That pic is old though - probably taken in Fall '06.

Wow! This must have been quite the HP difference compaired to the NA protege. Are the GST's AWD or is that the GSX's?

exterior: RICE
interior: nice
engine bay: beaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaastly delicious

hope you get rid of the ugly bodykit and put on oem 2gb bumpers/sideskirts and leave it wingless

Damn he must have really needed money to sell that sweet ride. Grats man looks great. That Evo III is a completely swapped engine right?

So what are your plans for it?

Some black rims, put your Recaro seats from the protege in this car, remove gauge on steering column, do something different whith stock gauges(gauge rings, and carbon fiber gauge bezel), and some kind of rear bumper lip or whole different rear bumper would be sweet. The rear bumpers on these cars have always looked to big and bubbly IMO.

Again thanks everyone for the comments. The guy who sold it to me had the car for a long time and wanted to move onto a new project so he got a BMW to play with.

As far as my plans right now, I plan on changing the paint color of the car. I am putting my Recaro seats in, taking out the shift light, changing out the LED bulbs in dash, and installing my Pioneer Avic-D3. I am also going to take it to a shop to get the engine properly tuned cause that is something it has never had. It also needs a new power steering pump and O2 sensor right now too.

Those are the short term plans as of right now. I'm torn on the rims right now cause I think they look good the way they are now however when I do put the new paint on that might change too.

Thanks again everyone
