My new CF wing.

From a designers view, I liked it without the wing. Not because I think it's bad, but rather I thought of your car as more unique being that it did not have one. The lines of the MX-6 are so smooth without a wing.

Something's wrong with your car, the wrong wheels are driving it!

J/K

Actually, it really doesn't look that bad. I personally think it would look a little better if it weren't wider than the car. As for functionality, well, you actually need to track it often to claim that because you definitely will not see a benefit on the street (how much 100+ mi/hr braking do you do on the street?).

@ KrnMailMan: I don't understand your hostile comments. He posted this on a public forum so other's opinions, whether good or bad, were expected.

+1 I liked it a lot better without the wing.

I dont think it fits the lines of the car at all....

and why do people call those that dont agree with them "haters"? Considering you are posting this on the internet you should expect opinions that go against yours....The "haters" thing is just asinine....

down force is down force, the rubber on the inside of the rear fender well is proof of that.

Would you let 2 people stand on your trunk lid? Would you let 2 people stand on top of the wing? If it generated any appreciable down force you could do both of these...

Lose the wing, go with more camo body panels. :D

He doesn't need to lower it. It's in the perfect area to be functional. Read up before u yell 8th grade puberty voice crackin comments like "Ban"

<3

Ps if u have a small wing don't speak at all. Shut yur mouth cause your drool is falling out.

so sorry. Didn't realize you were a aerodynamic engineer. So perhaps you can explain to me whether it's a spoiler or a wing. If it really is a wing perhaps you could shed some light how to you determined the angle of attack for that vehicle? It appears to be adjustable, so clearly you must know which peg to set it at for optimum performance.
Also I would really like to know how you determined the streamlines to figure out the perfect area to be functional? There is a lot of complexity with cfd work and was wondering how you overcame all that. thanks

I don't think it looks that bad, ya'll. (dunno) The wing is a little too big for my liking, but it's his car. It's not like it's 30,000 different colors and there's s*** stuck on with tape and bubblegum. LOL!

I can't speak about it from a performance perspective, but from a physical appearance standpoint, it's not "OMG so awful kill it with fire!!!!!"

When I first saw it, I thought "O no...." But as I looked a little more, you some how pull it off... Idk how or why, but I don't hate it. The front angle with the CF from the front air dam and hood sets it off, IMO. I would hate it on my car, lol. I know that. The protege will be wingless until it's sold. ;)

You've got the most aggressive and off the wall MX-6 I've ever seen. Rock what motivates you. (rockon)

(blarf) your car used to give me motivation to find an mx6 and i had been looking but no longer.

actually i think he needs to raise it a little. the bigger the better right? it worked in 1970 so it must still hold true

Little off topic info about the Superbird wing. The wing was actually designed for that height so that the trunk lid may clear it, no other reason. ;)
