Be careful. I know the car looks good and drives great, but PLEASE read through this forum before you do ANY mods to your Engine. Trust everyone when they tell you this. My car blew up along with many others on this site. I miss the car i had just like yours but not the problems. Just wanted to give you my 2 cents and leave it stock.

i plan on modding it after i graduate school... like 15months from now...so im in no hurry, ima jus do the regular matience...and jus a exhaust upgrade...thats all...

Don't let them play that number game with your trade. Sell your trade to a friend for what they are offering you on trade. They should be giving you at least 5k for your trade if they want to stick to that 18k sticker on the used MSP. Don't let them tell you the extra mods add value to the car, mods take away value of the car because the car is not complete.

Call a mazda dealership and get prices for all the parts which have been modified. Have them deduct the sum from what they are asking as it will cost you this price to get the car back to stock form.

yea see, u got lucky... my kbb and edmunds says 18k sale price at a dealer... so thats wat dealers sell them... i wish i had the same price as u... hell, i got one jus like yours...jus a different body kit and rims... nice car man...

Lucky? I think you misread what I posted. I'm trying to sell mine for a total of $16-$16.5k and I'm having a little trouble. You should have the same rims and body kit unless your car isn't the one posted in your sig. Mine are stock.

ah ok...luckly my dad is payin for my insurance cuz i'm in college... so i can't really work that much to afford both car payment and insurance...

by the way...are those upgraded springs??? or stock...cuz mines look a bit higher then yours...

I've got Tein SS coilovers... I think it's lowered about an inch or inch and a half lower than your stock springs....But your stock Racing Beat springs are lower than a regular Protege by almost an inch. Mine will drop about another 1/4 inch still.

yea iight... im not gonna upgrade them then... they feel good right now...espcially with the sway bars too... i was jus wondering cuz it looks nice...

Do not buy that car for 18k, i got my msp brand new for less than that. My ms miata was 20,500 brand new. Look around and you will surely find one for less than that.

yea i would...but i can't afford to travel... the next msp is like 2 hours from my house... in jersey... so i'm not gonna do that... i wish i had time... the closest one i found is only 15 mins from and its was an ok price for something thats rarely seen on the road... i only seen like 1 or 2 of these cars like every month... now i got one... i'm happy...

im trading in my 99 protege lx... piece of crap... it has a huge vacuum leak... so ima jus get rid of it... thank god i can afford this msp...and Cali is like a week worth of driving...im not goin for it...

damn dude. i know you really love this car but you will regret it. trust me. i payed WAY too much for my mp3. i didn't do the research before buying well enough. dont trust kbb. the car is too new to get a good judgement by it. when i got my mazdaspeed i flew from houston to detroit and drove back. the money i spent flying and driving plus the car was still $2,000 CHEAPER than any mazdaspeed in the houston area. Just go to your bank or credit union. They'll loan upto 16K for the mazdaspeeds. so you can find one for 14K and use the rest of the money getting it and getting an exhaust and whatever else you want. think about this. we're just trying to save yourself some money. so many people bought these cars NEW for around 18k.
