Boricua, did it ever occur to you that maybe the previous owner saw that he was putting on mileage a little too quickly and decided to just swap the gauges to keep all those miles off his odometer??
In that mileage consistency check you showed us, it show's that the guy drove the car 9,000 miles in the first FOUR MONTHS!! 6,000 over the next 3 months. 15,000 miles in 7 months is a lot. He finishes off the year with 20,000 miles!! Then all of a sudden the mileage drops dramatically to 3,000 over 4 months. Averaged out to daily mileage, that's showing only 25 miles now vs. about 54 miles a day the first year.
With the car being owned for roughly 912 days(since first check on 3/3/03) that would put todays mileage close to 49,xxx miles. That would be enough to make me want to swap my odometer if my mileage was that high and I was looking for a high trade in price.

You are too funny... You say you aren't going to buy the car unless they give you a reason to, but you are still going down there on your own to work out a payment plan, and you are the one doing the research on the issues with the car. Sounds like you want it bad enough to not just take our word and PASS IT UP!!! Face it...The dealership has hooked you, and it's only a matter of time until they reel you in. You expect them to do research about the car?? They don't care. A good salesman would know his cars to brag about what they feature. This place doesn't even know they got ripped off unless they did this s*** themselves. s***, with the few things wrong with that car, I highly doubt they gave any more then $10,000 to the guy who traded it in.
