My new car is messed up

So sorry to heard that, hate whose moron drivers. Do you have full coverage or liability? Well, my suggestion is after this whole thing is over change your insurance company ASAP. Allstate SUCKS.

Please.

I pay $380 a month for insurance with Liberty Mutual. One accident.

All because I live in the insurance fraud capital of the nation.

Only my two cents, but you should throw a big b**** to your insurance company. They will say some low figure, and hope you just accept it. If you come in with some estimates, showing how there is no way you can get it repaired for what they are giving you, they might give you some more.

A threat to sue is always helpful too, but keep this in your back pocket.

The figure is ALWAYS "negotiable". If you have any questions, let me know.

Insurance companies will bend you over if you let them - I would like to emphasize "let" them. Don't get screwed because you don't know your rights.

I don't see why there is a problem with your insurance giving you money, since it was the other parties fault, they are the one who are paying for the damages anyway....

get a few estimates before you see an ajuster, that helped get over 1K more in my claim!!!

My sincere condolences. Was the other guy insured? Was it his fault? Why isn't his insurance paying through the nose for it? I had heard some things about Allstate, that's for sure. But another friend of mine says Allstate's the best. Of course he's never really had to make use of their "services".

Any idea where I can find like a used one cheap I know it shouldn't cost $650 to fix and a used has to be cheap

I'm sorry about that man:(

How can they give you $650??? I think the insurance company should send some car repair shop people to see how much the thing cost. And I think you can get it fix in that shop. I don't really know about that. If it's wrong, get me some correct.

But anyway, good luck:)

The story is this guy tried to pass me in the left turn lane at a busy intersection. barley clipped me and this guy gets out of his car with an attitude like he wanted to fight. but since he jacked up my fender the car door wont open. so then my friend that was with me got out instead and then the guy chills out real fast and starts giving me this story about how I cut him off and he had to pass or risk running into the oppisite side of the intersection. Then the cop shows up and asks what's goin on the guy tells him his version. I tell him my version . cop concludes it's more likley his fault but I'm more likley to be an aggresive driver. I'm young other driver's older. none gets a ticket and the battle of the insurance co. begin

The end

Oh and also he told me he races winston cup stock cars. and then later told the officer that he was part of an off site pit crew:bs:

It's the insurance company's job to screw you. That's what they do. Your body shop will have the adjuster re-evaluate his appraisel, that's their job. Make sure you spec OEM parts.

My last car was hit in the rear hard and my body shop guy had to have the adjuster come back 3 or 4 times to finally get the guy to consider the car totaled. More recently some little idiot at work backed into my P5 and the same body shop gave me an estimate of $1500 and I just got an appraisel of $950 from the ins co and they want to use aftermarket parts. You pay and pay and pay and then when you have a loss they try to bend you over the table.

Accept nothing but OEM parts...period! You didn't pay good money for your car to have it fixed with anything less than factory parts.

My advice: get three written estimates from body shops (note: dealers usually quote higher *hint hint*). Pick body shops that you would trust to fix the car, because they may mandate that the work be done at one of them.

As far as Allstate goes: they blow. When I totalled my Neon -- note I'm accepting the fault -- I had to be the go between for Allstate and my bank when the bank didn't receive the pay-off check. Then I realized that I already signed the title over to Allstate, so I called the adjuster back and told him it's their car, they figure it out. I also mentioned to him that if my credit rating was affected in anyway, they would have a lawsuit on their hands.
Guy got his head out of his a$$ real quick. My bank also bent over backwards to accomodate Allstate (no pun intended).

Low rates get customers, good service keeps them!

"You're in good hands (with our dick up your a$$) with Allstate."

All I can say is, Good Luck! I've had my share of disgust at insurance companies in NJ. NJ is the worst. I feel for you man, but if it's not too late you can submit a statement that clearly states your version instead of the Police Report - maybe that'll get AllState's attention.
