This guys got one for sale down here. It's Red with 48k original miles, no rebuilt, cherry for $20. Sounds expensive but it's a really nice one, nicer than my old one.

^^ I have noticed that they go for a lot. I saw a red R1 with 30K on it that had "never seen rain" and the guy was looking for like 23K.

I looked for MONTHS in the for sale section of rx7club.com, nopistons.com, autotrader and cars.com. I finally found it in autotrader with the options and color I wanted, low miles, stock, the warranty and great price!! (nana)

while we're on the subject, I've always wondered...what IS the R1 package?

R1 (93) or R2 (94-95) is the barebones all out racing version.

-Lowered and stiffer suspension
-strut tower brace
-secondary oil cooler
-front air dam with brake cooling ducts
-rear wing that actually creates downforce at high speeds
-NO sunroof
-NO cruise control
-NO fog lights
-NO rear wiper
-only a base stereo
-suede like seats for better butt grip
-Z rated tires
-60 pounds less

The R versions can get 0.99g in the skidpad and 0-60mph in 4.9 while the touring gets 0.95g and 5.2 0-60mph plus I get all the luxury so I don't complain
