And congrats on the better mileage. Can't wait to get home and work on mine. Need to buy parts and convince myself to stick with the KA in my garage and not try sell everything for a VQ30DET.

I just noticed the other day while changing the oil that my L18 has an A87 closed chamber peanut head. I dont know why I never looked before. So now I know I really have to get the bigger exhaust in there.
I hope my old boss can find his extra mikuni carbs soon too.
Or maybe an EFI engine is in the near future as my current engine can probably pay for a KA.

4 bolt miata i know the 89-97 were 4x100 use to run 15 inch ford escort rims.

510's are 4x114.3 bolt pattern.
some people go as far as a 5 lug swap from a 300ZX.

May want heavier springs later, but whatever.

I dont think the guy knew what he had.
I had him measure the threaded sleeves and they are identical to the kit for 510's running 280ZX struts.

Also....

I went to my friendly local parts store and scored some NOS tokiko 15/16 280zx brake m/c rebuild kits. one has all the hard parts (pistons/springs) in addition to all the seals.
the other has all the seals.

how much????

$7 each brand new in the box straight outta the 70's

Will it work for the 79-81 and 82-83 master cylinders? I know they have different "bowls" but are the internals all the same? I have 81 master cylinder.

I was told the part numbers are the same from 79-83.
So yes it should work.
