My eBay experience for today..... LAME
Wow, trying to look for camber plates for my strut swap and this clown in TX treats me like this: (everything copied and pasted from emails.)
I first contact him through the ebay messaging system asking:
"Hi very interested in these for my 71 Datsun 510. Would you be able to take some close up pictures of the bolt threads? Thanks!"
His reply:
"Please READ the auction. Notice that I require a Direct e-mail for Any Questions."
(a scammer tactic to avoid ebay radar and evidence.)
So, I send him an email:

"OK here is your direct email.
Can you take pictures of the three fender mounting bolts?
And is there any play in the spherical bearings?
Thanks."
To which I get this reply:
"No............
Because they fit !
The only thing that varies on the 510 is the thread size on the end of your strut.
Some 510s had a 12mm thread, some had a 14mm thread.
You tell me which thread size you need, and I will include a pair of the correct nuts."
I then reply:
"I am not worried about the size. I am concerned with the condition of the threads.
Since you are being so guarded about the auction I doubt I would be interested anyway. Thanks."
His totally gratuitous reply:
"Do you see anything in my feedback that says I sell crap ??
You are blocked, don't bother looking at my auctions again.
Your just another fuc-ing 510 nut case........."
I reply.
"Just another poor seller."
His latest response just came in while typing this:
"No, just a smart one......
I don't sell to nut-cases.
If you were so concerned with having perfect camber plates,
you could have bought the new set I have listed.
But like a typical 510 wanabe, you will only spend $5 on a $50 part.
Thank you for showing me what a looser you are before bidding on any of my items."
END
So in summary, it seems pretty clear that this guy is selling crap, or just scamming people. But his feedback looks ok.
I would recommend to all here, not buying from
this guy
And of course I am looking for a deal on parts, who isnt?
And if I even did want to buy from him, I would just use my wife's ebay account.
EDIT:
I contacted the buyer of the item after the auction ended and he recieved them w/o any hardware, and the threads were quite mangled.
