My Manual 2006 Mazda5 Sport

I got the car a few months ago!

It's a bare-bone Mazda5 Sport with no option. I got it for $500 under invoice after a few hours of haggling. The OTD price was about $17300.

Pictures!

It's Carbon Grey! I am not a big fan of the other colors except for White. But, white requires too much maintenance.

It's a manual! No way I was going to buy the clutchless version of the car. A manual minivan, how cool is that?

The car now has about 6000 miles on it. Not a single problem or squeak so far. This weekend I will perform another oil change (full synthetic oil + Mazda filter).

Great deal! I agree, a 5spd minivan is a rare treat!

Just curious, why do you find white to be high maintenence? IME it's one of the easiest colors to keep 'looking' clean. The only hard part I have with it is while washing it, it has to be rinsed and dried quickly to prevent the dirt from resettling... but a good coat of wax would prevent this probably.

All that being said, I think if Carbon Gray was available in '07 MY I would've opted for it, instead ;)

You say its bare bones - did you notice if all the others have the same A/C and vent/fan controls? I'm sure all the models in Canada have different looking controls. Perhaps that's the automatic climate control version only????

That's the manual climate control system pictured . I think in the US you can order AC without the climate control, But In Canada, if you order AC, you automatically get climate control! That's what I have, a bare bones GT (except for ACC! Id rather have that then spend $700 for Mazda's MP3 player!!)

BTW: the ACC controls look better anyway! IMHO

welcome! the 5 is a great car. i tried to get my wife to get a 5spd, but she was tired of driving stick so we ended up with the sport AT. after a few road trips from l.a. to s.d, it's nice to rest your left leg. especially with the crappy ass traffic throughout la county.

The pic you see is a Mazda 5 with NO AIRCONDITIONING at least here in canada eh...... I have only seen one and we ended up sending it to the government for crash tests.

All trims of U.S. Mazda5 have A/C. Manual A/C standard for Sport (Auto climate optional) and Auto climate standard for Touring.

My Mazda5 Sport has no option, so it has manual A/C with the black knobs. :)
