Got the subie lip on it today and the motor I picked up is on the engine stand ready to be cleaned up. I've got to get my pope down pipe powder coated and order a few more parts before I swap motors out but I'll hopefully be getting the parts within the next few weeks.

Car finally took its last trip last week. Whoever had the car before me put stop leak in the radiator and it finally clogged up and started over heating. But good news is that I have all the parts I need to swap motors out so its going in the garage Monday morning and hopefully have it back on the road by next weekend if everything works smoothly
 
Love it :D The lip gives it another new hot look. I wonder if i could fit that lip on mine lol.

Yeah it definitely changes the look of the car, I've seen lips on the protege's like yours but not the lip I have. I'd be interested on seeing how itd look

Yeah I'm not sure if it'd fit either, the only way to find out is try haha

Went to Mazda today and ordered the rest of the parts I needed to swap motors. Should be here by the beginning of next week, I'm still transferring parts over from the old motor. Hopefully by next weekend it'll be back on the road
 
The car is back on the road! Having some troubles wih it idling but I think I know what the problem is, going to take a closer look at it tomorrow
 
Time for an update! I've had some problems with my radiator overflow spewing water out every time I drive and yesterday it finally let loose and wouldn't make it but about 5 miles before I had to stop and fill it back up with water. Pretty sure it's my thermostat so I'm replacing that today and hopefully it fixes that problem. But it's still not idling, ive cleaned my egr and my maf but that didn't help. Next on my list is to check all my vacuum lines for a leak. I also had a code come up the other night, it was a camshaft position sensor circuit malfunction, it only comes on when I get on the throttle really hard though. So I'll be replacing that to. I'm loveing the way the P.E.P downpipe sounds though! I can def tell my turbo spools so much quicker.

Took the engine back apart and found that my head wasn't tightened down to the correct specs, finally found the right specs for it and tightened it down the right way then during the process of putting the timing belt on the IM cam wasn't turning smoothly so we took it out and it like popped out of where it sits so I replaced it with a spare I had and it fit much better. Got the car in timing but it jumped timing when I started it up, took everything back apart again to fine my EM cam broke in half as so...

Replaced that cam and put everything back together once again and it still won't idle, taking it this week to have someone else look at it because I can't find what's wrong with the idle problem
 
hey bro question for you. what kind of suspension you have on yours? im lowered on tein s-techs, and im picking up my evo wheels this week FINALLY. did you have to roll your fenders or anything in order to get them to fit on your car?

I'm on eiboch pro kit and I haven't rolled my fenders yet but I need to, I can't have more than 3 people in my car or it rubs pretty bad. How much of a drop did the tein s-techs have?
 
Finally getting closer to getting the car back on the road! Found out I had a bad waste gate so I put a new one in and got everything back together and then found out my turbo is blown, but I picked up another gt-25 and just waiting for my gaskets to come in then dropping the replacement turbo in and hopefully get it back on the road. It's been down for about 3 months now... Needless to say I miss driving this car!

my s-techs dropped it about 1.25in. they claim 1.5 inch drop but if i measure i still have about 1 finger clearance between my fender and stock RH. my rear suspension is still stock. i kinda of wanted that racky look. and im gonna be put on CF fenders on soon too. so its not like i can roll those lol

You should be fine then because I only scrub in the back
