So this all started one day when I realized I had bad piston rings so I decided screw it I can get a FSZE for almost 3/4 of the price of a rebuild so here is how the swap went. Pulled the FSDE and replaced with the FSZE transmission mounted beautifully including the mounts. So I connected everything as usual and everything fit just like they normally would on the FSDE. I did not swap anything internal to the engine, left it the way it was (FSZE). The only things I swapped was the crank pulley with a harmonic balancer puller, knock sensor (Japanese connector) and of course the ecu, I swapped that with a protege 5 ECU (5 speed Manual). I used the stock MSP intake and FSZE or FSDE NA exhaust manifold. Everything fit as should. Unfortunately I won't get the "170hp" but I plan on going with a management system later. So this concludes my swap story with a beautifully running and idling (700rpm) FSZE. If anyone has any questions just message me.
