Hey Guys,
I posted about my spool hardpipe experience around the 11th of November. For those of you who don't know I recieved a pipe in the mail that was too short (ic to turbo pipe). At that point I was upset that I took the day off for the install and things did not work out for me. Later that night I started a thread about Spool and how upset I was about the situation. I want to let you guys know that on that Monday the 12th I called Terry at Spool and he was so receptive to what I was saying and really wanted to please me as the customer. He actually sent me out two seperate pipes to test for fittament. I recieved the pipes and could not install them right away since I needed to purchase a new silicon pipe since I slit one of the ones they provided me. Today I had the time to put the new pipe in as well as some other things with Jim (prospeed from our forums). The pipe fits perfectly and I am quite happy. Spool will have much more business from me in the future and they have certainly made things 100% right with me. I'll see if Jim can post a pic of the finished product here. I want to apologize again to Terry for my rash post. Thanks again :)

the pipes were a perfect fit . excellent job terry.

Hey there I got spool's pipes also. I was wondering if your ic to tb pipe was a little short. I have a gap in between both pipes maybe about a half an inch. I'm not losing any boost but it doesn't look like it should do that. Also do you get a loud vibration when you floor it?

How would I do that and could you explain what the master cylinder is? Also what did you do about that piece that was mounted on that pipe?

i made an l bracket to hold it and the master cylinder is wear you put the brake fluid in. if you dont have it adjusted right it will hit. also does it hit when you first start it

Not really it hit when I turned the boost up. The first time I turned it up to 9.5 when id hit about 4500 rpms in second this loud clunking noise came on. Now I took my mbc off and now when I floor it in first it makes the noise. No longer in second or third. It's weird. Never made a noise before the pipes.

i would just double check your pipe clearance all around these motors have alot of movement and under certain loads it can hit if not adjusted properly. i also feel that there is more room to adjust the pipe from intercooler to intake when you use injen cai.instyz car makes no banging noises

the first pipe off the bottom of the intercooler and the pipe from that to the throttle body.

the plastic intake pipe was touching the hard pipe and is very hard to get adjusted. alot easier when injen was put on . make alot more room. a 1/2 gap is nothing to worry about in the connection. you really dont want the pipes to touch inside the silicone connector the pipe might rub against each other and make sounds.

Alright I'll give it a look. It's the worst sound though hard to describe. It discourages me when they make that noise.

When you purchased the pipes, did you have the chance to have any flange put on for the BPV? I really like the setup, looks nice as hell. Is spool going to ship out the pipes that fit now, no longer the first pipe you got? Also what BOV did you buy?

Matt

Well they have the Greddy and HKS flanges in stock. If you want another one put on you would have to provide them with it. (or pay them to have it sent to thier shop.) Then they can weld it for you. As far as the pipes go I am going to let Terry know which one worked for me. There should be no more probs from here on out. :)

The turkey sounds like he's ready for Thanksgiving...haha its loud as hell. I really like it. Maybe I'll try that turkeyless mod in the future but for now I like it the way it is.
