Had a work accident last night dispatching an aircraft. I was closing the door of an aircraft, these doors on these aircrafts in particular are heavy and are a bit of a struggle to close. So once the door is bout 95% down since they slide in the aircraft upwards and down when you close them, there is a latch on the left side of the door that you bring down that seals the door in place and locks it, the flight attendant thought she would give me a hand by helping me to close it from the inside and 2 of my fingers got crushed between the latch and the body of the aircraft, about 400 lbs of pressure. With only those 2 fingers I attempted to lift the latch against the pressure she was putting on the other side and was screaming stop.
Lacerated and crushed 2 fingers, by miracle no fracture, they had to clean my fingers under the massive cuts at the hospital and sew it back up. Still hurts a bit, trying to stay off pain killers with success so far. I realise how much worse this could have been, I could of really got my fingers sliced off.
Anyways since this thread is aviation related I'll ad a couple of pics I took at work this week.
One picture is just before I had to tow the airplane and the ohter is a random shot.
