The day I got it (these pics were posted in the other thread)
P1011502.jpg

Interior shot. It needs a decent amount of work. Needs shifter bushings, new steering wheel. Im in the process of restoring the interior right now, but thats a seperate post.
P1011503.jpg

shot of the engine bay, Remanned long block. No AC or power steering. Its an s4 13b, so if i want to go turbo, ive been told i have to swap the entire engine out.
P1011504.jpg

These cut lines appear to be AC lines? Im guessing the chassis came with power steering and AC (as there is also a button for AC in the car), but when the new engine was swapped in, it didnt come with it.
P1011505.jpg

also an unused AC line?
P1011506.jpg

mystery wires that arent hooked up to anything?
P1011507.jpg

Im guessing this is the air pump. Previous owner said all I need is to hook this up for it to pass smog.

interior restoration
P1011508.jpg

pulled the door panels off. The plastic sheet water seal thing definitely needs to be cleaned and resealed. I took it off to see if i could fix the lock actuators on both sides of the car since they dont lock, but im thinking Ill just have whoever installs my alarm fix it.
P1011509.jpg

As you can see the panel is ****** filthy. 22 years of dirt and grime. You can also see the void of grime where the door handle was. Im going to shampoo and extract the panels on sunday.
P1011510.jpg

rear hatch struts are busted, so i propped it up with a broom stick. And yes, it fell once while i was underneath it. And yes. It hurt.
P1011511.jpg

Interior pieces coming out to be cleaned and reinstalled.
P1011512.jpg

what the trunk looks like stripped down. The wires you see are for the fuel pump switch.
P1011513.jpg

some broken glass i found under the carpeting. Car was definitely broken into in its lifetime. Also would explain why the passenger lock doesnt work at all.
P1011514.jpg

Removed the seat, This is before what the carpeting looked like.
P1011515.jpg

after. Looks better, but needs shampooing. The carpet definitely needs to be pulled for a proper cleaning, but the previous owner, or whoever put the T2 seats in welded on of the corners to the floor. Im guessing because the bolt would thread. (the 4 bolts i pulled on the pass side were all stripped) So ill have to break the weld to pull the seat, which im unsure if i want to do yet. I want to replace the insulation under the carpets with new insulation so they s*** doesnt smell like the 80s anymore. and i cant pull the carpet without pulling the seat.

P1011536.jpg

The door panels were pulled off and cleaned with APC and a extractor. Managed to get them pretty clean. Floors were brushed and vaccuumed.
P1011543.jpg

Trunk all cleaned up. Pulled all the carpeting and panels. Wiped down the floorboards with APC and a cloth.

Grounding kit. Installed by Anthony, a local MOCC(cali mazda club) member. Havent jump started the car yet (battery died), but hopefully itll aid my batter draining issue.

your cut lines are A/C Lines, I have Rear Hood struts if you would like to purchase a pair, they still hold just fine. Anything else you need, let me know i might have it. I have a Turbo II shell ive been raping for parts
I have an 88 GTU i have completly stripped out, but will be doing a build thread on here soon.

japan2la e-brake button...
momo wheel (I want)
no need for the air pump unless u got smog
the open plug goes to the oil pressure sender (little can) under the oil filter

yeah i have the same ebrake button just in red.

And whats wrong with the MOMO wheel? I need to get rid of the airbag wheel i have i DO NOT wanna get hit by that lol

In cali i have to hook up that air pump in order to get it registered.

I attached a wire to the oil pressure sensor, but it isnt the one im holding. The oil pressure gauge worked after i hooked up that wire.

I was going through mazdatrix.com to see what i can and cant replace. Im thinking im just going to get new locks for the doors and hatch, and have a seperate key for the ignition.

the steering wheel is a little small for my tastes. Maybe im just used to the larger wheel in my p5. I definitely want to get a harness bar and proper harnesses because there are no front airbags.
