Just for some comparison to your dealer,
After my tire busting pothole incident, i had bought a couple tires and put them on the car myself (paid some1 to mount tire on wheel). The very next week teh check engine light comes on, it doesnt start so well in cold mornings and idles sporadic sometimes, but im on such a tight schedule with work (m-f 8-5) and college (m,w, 6-11) that i dont have much time for service, so I call my mazda dealer and tell him whats going on and ask if I can get a complimentary rental, he is like "sure". Yesterday i go there with my list of every rattle and concern, he gives me the keys to a rental 04 4door i model and im out the door no cares in the world! I call today its already fixed (reprogrammed computer to new updates) and added some items on front and rear brakes, fixed the airbag sensor recall and only charged me 40 bucks for inspecting the suspension that i had thought for sure i fuxord up in the pothole, then they washed for me free which they always do, no hassles, no worries. They also took out the extra psi in the new tires (the idiot i paid to mount them filled them to 50psi) Pretty good experience, plus i got to drive the 4 door i model before i go buy 1 for my wife (who doesnt like the hb but loves the sedan, wierd) Hope your dealer experiences are as good.

man your lucky to have a good dealer. After hearing all the horror stories on here just should feel special.

yeah it was brown. The mazda guys name is bill in service, good guy. I bought the car with the s plan, they let me drive it first time with me and my wife with no one else riding, then the next week by myself, then i bought it, they were sooooo not pushy, although i wanted the bright blue but you had to take what you could get back in july when i bought it :{ Wish I had waited but ill get the i model for my woman in orange or blue.

That's good to know they have good service. I'm looking for a new dealer so any positive feedback is good.

Have you tried Thayer in Livonia?

mind you my rear brakes still squeal backing up and they didnt replace anything, just adjusted and added a little piece of metal. They arent miracle workers. :-)

That's where I'm going for my next service (whatever that may be).

Whoever gets there first, post about it!

I took my car in today to have these items checked/fixed..
1. Airbag sensor recall
2. noisy clutch pedal
3. squeaky front brakes (when cold)
4. door weatherstrip
5. oil change/tire rotate
My local dealer gave me a Mazda6 to drive as a loaner.. So that was a plus..
It is supposed to be ready tomorrow, and I will post what my experience was and if they actually fixed what needed to be..

Well, picked the 3 up on Wednesday..
1. done
2. mechanic couldn't diagnose the problem, but it doesn't squeak anymore.
3. had to order parts.
4. had to order parts.
5. done

So, 2 out of 5 jobs done.. I will take it back next week when the parts come in and see what happens this time.
Overall my service experience was good/better than I expected even though there is still stuff to be done.. My service dept. seemed to know what they were doing.. (burnout)
