well... yesterday i called one of the dealers I have around for an appointment for service, kinda gave them the idea of what i was complaining. I listed:
Broken Front axle seal
Squeaky shocks
Clunking noise
Grinding transmission on the morning and sometimes during the day and shudder in clutch
So i went, took my car, made a list in fornt of me with the problems, and hook me up with a..... ford taurus
(come on i was expecting a miata
)
so i receive a call today.... first, they "say" they didnt find anything wrong with the seals... i VERY much doubt this, anyway, shocks were lubbed, found problems with the bushings (of course) were ordering new ones which i asked if they ordered the same part number or the reviewd ones and thay had no clue about it. But the part that got on my nerves was......
"Theres nothing wrong with your clutch or transmission" so i interrupted and say no way, and she was like, we have driven many of this mp3 cars and they all have this "characteristics" so i asked "and you think this is normal?", they were like, yes, perfectly normal, then i go ironic with them telling how weird it was for me coming from a 1993 Mazda Miata with 90K miles on it see that on a 5speed car, when i had my car for 3 years, always shifted smoothly, never a clutch shudder, etc... then she goes off topic and tells me that part of my car noises are due to uneven tire wear.... im like what???? its only 15k, i know im supposed to rotate every 5k or so, but come on, i had my miata for way more than that, never an alignement or rotation (yes i was careless) and it was not even close to the mp3 noises, and thats a 9 years old car!!!
anyway, frustating indeed, but i hope at least they get rid of the clunking noise, its just sad that this dealer practically admits they have crappy transmissions on the mp3...
