2003.5 Titanium Gray MSP #1699
I'm going to be getting bronze 17" Downshifts from Rishie's GB, so I wanted to PS them & make sure they would look good. I ended up messing around with the pic & came up with basically what I want to do & I just wanted to see what people think. I like to be unique & in the end, I'll do whatever I want, but I was just curious.

Here is my car now:

-only visible appearance mod is painted front emblem

& here is what I'd like to do:

251003-KEY.jpg

-either redo my front emblem or see if I can custom fab a badgeless front grille out of a new bottom grille
-paint headlights black
-swap stock amber corner lenses with the clear ones that tytanium is going to produce
-paint calipers black
-change signal & sidemarker bulbs to APC Titans (see pic below)
-Sylvania Silverstars (for now, eventually I'd like 6000k HIDs)
-TEIN springs
-WRC hood vent (see pics below)
-paint the hood & area around the grille black
-Protosport 03.5 CF splitter

The APC bulbs have a silver lens so that they look clear when off, but still light up amber.

The WRC hood vent is actually a Subaru product, but it's something that you have to get custom done, so you can put it on any car. I first saw it on this pic & thought it would be a great way to vent out all of that hot underhood air:

Here's a closer pic of it:

& pics of it painted & installed on a WRX:

For anyone who's interested, the bulbs are $7 each at Discount Auto (they have to order them or I guess you can get them from APC's site). The WRC vent is $165 from gimmiegears.com (under composites).

oh god, that white wrx is freakin perfect

the fabricating a badgeless grill from a lower grill wont work, ive tried :D just paint your emblem black, id say tahts the next best thing, check out my sig pic. i know its dark but you really cant see it

Hopefully by the time I wake up, someone will feel like replying instead of just viewing.
Man i think your car looks hot as it is like the wheels in first pic better and think the hood looks alot better the way it is.
Hey it looks so good as it is spend you money on some other mod.

ps if you sell your wheels how much would you ask for them just wheels?

Thanks for the compliment, but I like to be unique & the mods are also for function too (lighter wheels & engine cooling).

I currently have an offer of $700 shipped, but I think your shipping cost would be outrageous.

Your sig says you have a Titanium Protege, but it's not an MSP. I didn't know that Titanium came on any cars besides the MSP & the RX8...I'd love to see pics of your car.

Black over here we have the got your p5 in a sadan as well.
The p5 is call a 323 Astina SP20 and the sadan 323 Protege SP20 can get both in titanium but no MSP over here will post pic for you tomorrow got to sleep 4hr till work good night

Any more opinions on the WRC vent? I'd kind of like an expert opinion as to how effective someone thinks it would be.

I love the WRC vent !!!!!! but , Im scare about the rain can pass under hood and can produce a corrosion of part ....... (uhm)

Looks pretty good

you're saying it would cost 169$ to have one made for our Proteges ?

No, it's $165 for just an unpainted vent. You are then responsible for getting it installed, which can be done on any car. Obviously, it's all just bodywork & paint, so the real price is based on what kind of deal you can find on that.

i don't why some of u guys keeps on changing the rim on msp... i mean, those rims looks perfect in our cars... perhaps those rims that u are gonna change doesn't really look better than the stock rims...and the stock rims are Racing Hart.. u know how expensive those are...omg...i don't understand...i ****** up on my rims and now i might have to buy another one..and u know it's $500 each, according to the dealer...
and for the subaru, i don't really like it because of those round bug headlights, it's just sooo ugly.. that's one of big reasons i didn't buy WRX...if the 04 models were been out earlier, that car woulda been mine already...
anyways, at the end, u can do whatever u can to ur car...just my 02 cents....

Looks good steele (God I hope thats you). Have you gotten any track times yet? When you come back south we should run, or at least head at to moroso together.

Black that looks totally awesome I love the hood vent to. I can't wait to see it in person one day once you get it all done.

I like that vent a lot. Its not over the top looking or have a huge bolge it. But I just like many others wonder if weather will harm things under the hood. We could make a blocker plate for the winter time because it should be plenty cold outside. Not really sure because this will be my first winter with the speed, but the temp change should help the engine bay out a lot. The rota's look pretty good to. I like the color, but the weight would be the only reason for buying another set of wheels. I like my stock RH's that much!

I like the hood vent too but aren't you worried about rain I mean you live in Orlando it rains every day in the summer. I would love to vent my hood but I also live in Florida. I am thinking of the Evo hood because you can take that part out under the grills and put it back on if you think it's going to rain, like every day from June to October

I like the Racing Harts (especially the Hypersilver), but everyone has them & they're 22lbs (or so I'm told). The Downshifts are 17.3 & I really like colored wheels.

It's gonna take me a while before I can even have a chance against you Burn.

I'm not sure, but I think the vent might have a rain guard included. I'll have to call & find out all the details.
