me personally, i'd do something to hide the wires. maybe just build a trim panel and give it that flush mount look. as for the radio, the install looks clean, but the install kit doesnt look like it matches the interior color, i'd try and change that. and then ditch any stock speaker and just go with a good componet set, if u want a 3-way setup 1"/4"/6.5" go with a componet set designed for it with its own crossover. other then that it looks fine. as for the box, as long as it's the proper size, not to much u can do with it besides finding speakers that rquire less volume.

if you get componetns dont use any of the stock stuff up front. you can mount the tweet right next to the mid in the same hole. save you from drilling a hole in the door. I put my tweet on teh top of the door panel. just a 2 little screws holes not big surface mount hole. some people like ot get kick panels. you can go though route.

Sorry about this, but since Mr Magnum works at Circuit City and that is where I get my Car Audio installed, i thought he would be good to ask.
I plan on replacing the Stock self powered Sub in the spare tire with an Infinity Basslink, I was wondering if the Wiring for the stock unit would be usable for the new Sub. I already had the HU replaced, and the stock sub is controllable with my new HU.
what do you, or anyone else think about this? Or am I being lazy??

I can answer this as well, methinks...
The basslink will probably need a better power wire run to it from the battery. I assume it will work off the speaker level inputs going to the stock sub or using an LOC, you can control the Basslink's volume at the HU. At least, that's my take...Magnum might have more to add to this.

i always would suggest upgrading stock wiring when going with aftermarket, auto manufacturer put in a wire just big enough to take care of whats in there, and most audio gear even an amp rated at the same power will generally put out more power then somethng from the factory and will generally draw as much power if not more.
and i saw this on the first page, someone mentioned that building a box a bit bigger then reccomended will add spl. in most cases this is false, if your sub needs a 1.cu.ft. sealed box. going bigger will generally decrease spl. but your sub will generally play a few hz lower and the responce will be a bit flatter, if u make the box smaller then specs. you wil lose a few of those low frequencies but gain a bit in the spl. the trade off between the two isn't tremendous. but if your building to compete ever little bit helps.
