My COBB Spring Impressions

sure but idk how far you are from me

Distance isn't a concern its an adventure! i live like 15 miles away from anoka. i would more than likely come down to your place if thats cool. you already have the tools i would assume. ill pm you when i get them and we will figure it out!

Well I just measured my openings, keep in mind I just installed them yesterday. 26.6 rear 26.5 front. I don't know what the stock measurements were. It looks a little lower but not much.

Here is what mine look like after a couple days. Looks about the same to me.

The front is a little lower, other then that I don't think it's much different. And I know the springs are installed right.

My stock measurements were 26.5" front and 26.625" rear. But, that was on 225/40R18, so that should be 0.5" diameter smaller or 0.25" shorter overall. So, I'm guessing that with stock 215/45R18s I would have measured 26.75" front and 26.875" rear.

After, I'm measuring 25.75" front and 26.5", for a drop of 0.75" front and 0.125" rear. If my guess (above) is correct for OEM measurements, that would be about 26.0" front and 26.5" rear afer drop, and that's after "settling". Also, my settled measurements were within 0.125" from my measurements immediately after the install, so basically what you see now is what you get.

Kinda makes me wish I'd have gone with H&Rs, although the ride is good on the Cobbs.

anyone tried autoexe springs? there a little more expensive but seem to be a nice 30mm claimed drop which would be perfect...

I have to admit, I'm a little disappointed. I was looking forward to an inch drop, and that's about all I wanted. Although the ride is improved enough to make up for the lack of drop I wish it was a little bit lower. I didn't want the H&R springs just because I have no desire to mess with bad dampers later.
