I'm not gonna argue. The car sucks ass anyway. That is just what I was told. I do know the GT he had dynoed at 496 at the wheels... I saw it myself. Much better car @ a much better price.

i wasn't trying to argue because i actually love the car. its even the same color i would get it. if i had the money to buy one, i would have one. i'm just a mustang lover i guess. i have a 65 and one of my dream cars is a 67 gt500. i believe you about his other car. i've seen some bad gt's and even a couple v6's that would probably outrun the gt500

i could careless about all this gto vs. mustang stuff going on. i like both, but if i had the money i would choose the gt500 over the gto. everyone has there own opinion.

I worded that wrong, I meant that I agree with you in other words that I would not argue that fact.
by the way, anyone that doesn't half way bust a nut over the original "Eleanor", something is wrong with them. lol. I totally agree with you on that.

Well, Well, Well... We went to the drag strip last night. I have to say I was not impressed. I was so unimpressed that I left after his first few runs. His best time was 13.22, actually 4 seconds slower than the '06 GT that he had before. What a waste of money, I think. My niece took some videos of him running, but we don't know where the computer cables are, so give me a few days to round something up to get them on the computer. later guys and gals.

a few more "budget" mods and I'll beat that time in my beater (first)

;)

don't know...and don't want to get embarrased at the track...my excuse is an old clutch with too much torque :(

once I get my clutch, and finish a few minor things, I expect low 13's high 12's.

this is the thread where I get my comparison:

http://www.mx6.com/forums/showthread.php?t=141201&highlight=12.7

he was running the same turbo as me, 255lph walbro, 4:1 FMU (I believe), 18psi, nasty clutch and slicks.

me, tbird hybrid, 195lph, 14psi and slipping clutch. just need the clutch, fmu and slicks, and will good to go ;)

I'm *think* hitting low 14's right now. played with a new Charger R/T a little while ago and he couldn't gain more than 3/4 CL on me through 3rd gear.
