My baby has been violated!, probable 56k warn.

the stock alarm sucks really really bad. thats how. ive had windows smashed and the alarm doesnt even go off...

I would feel a little better with a broken, window. Since it'd be obvious how they got in. But, the car was locked, I'm 99.99999% sure that i locked it. I guess the next investment will really be a new alarm.

Been there man. Sucks to see. You know they don't even make that much off of jackin radios. Probably gonna sell it on the street for 50 bucks. The worst was when they jacked my radio they took my cd collection. 200 cds gone. Im still trying make up with my lost cds.

That code is not difficult to bypass for someone who knows what they're doing. It's crap when people break into your car. I want to know how they managed not to set the alarm off.
takes about 2 1/2 minutes.........

**** thieves man. I had a friend who jacked stereos...when I found out, I punched him in the face a whole bunch, telling him he's a ******* waste of skin, and how he'd like it if I stole his s***. he got pissed..we don't talk anymore. People who steal s*** like that are ******* losers, and deserve to be beaten. ******* cheap scabs, can't work for their own s***, lazy cunts fuckers. Can you tell this pisses me off alot?.

thats gay as hell
it doesnt really do any good to have an alarm mounted outside a car now adays, people dont pay attention to them
see yyou just need to find the loudest alarm you can and mount it inside the car, like under the dash or drivers seat, so even if they do make it out with your sterio they will be too deaf to use it

seriously, can you PM me the way to do it? I bought my MSP used and the lady that owned it before me had it enabled. battery died (i am in Hong Kong and thus dont drive it very often) and now i cant get past the security code. audio places around here charge $75 to do it...

Anyone suggestions, and sorry for the threadjack.

what radio you looking to replace it with??

So Progressive said that they have had too much trouble finding a head unit to replace it with and they've been quoted up to a grand for it. I s/w a rep today and he said they'd just write another $500 into the quote for me to find a new cd player. I am looking at a few right now. I prefer something with red lighting to match the guages, but am open to any suggestions.
I do have a question too.
Will I be able to find a wiring harness or just have to splice into the existing one?
Some options I'm considering.

And maybe this one if I could stand how plain it is.

Nah, I am getting enough to replace, the dash and console, fix the scratch outside, and ~$500 extra for a new unit. It save progressive like 500 since they have been quoted a grand for just the H-U.

damn, that sucks. These alarms suck. My first one didn't do anything so I had them put it in a new one, and even though they claim it works I can't get it to go off no matter what I do.
