Funny you say that. One of our first tasks in our 5 was a trip to visit my Grandmother with myself, my wife and parents. 100 miles of nice twisty 2 land roads. Thoth the wife was driving, I must admit that the bolsters in the 2nd row are sill aggressive enough to be helpful!

hi.. just a suggestion. Maybe not so important. have dealer lift the mz5 up. get down there and do visual checks. Mine had one axle rusted/old looking as compared to the other axle. And also take photos of the various splash shields and other shields originally installed by manufacturer. Down the future, they can be missing after you've gone for oil change or maintenance.. and there is no drawing of the underchassis in the workshop manual.

i trust that dealership.. they're friends of mine.. and plus my mz5 is a fresh unit. it just got off the train.. if my car was park in the compound for like 4-5 months.. than i might get a little worry. but thanks for the tips tho..

thanks captain. it's good to be here...

first nite driving home.. i already got other mazda looking at my car... there's this mazda 3 that slow down behind me.. i'm guessing he was looking at the LED tail light..

Heh heh, the first night I had my 5 I put almost 600 miles on it. I've never had a vehicle as comfortable as this one for trips.
Oh yeah welcome. (Have I been here long enough to tell other people that yet?)

Belated welcome Johnson, that color is really nice (and not as dirty looking as the blue or carbon gray). Lucky guy with GT+Leather+5MT, or Auto Tranny?

Not sure, I think the Canadienses have a Mazda5 stronghold here (silly). Joking, I think is a balanced mix (oh, and from time to time you'll see some Europeans as well, you'll note they show-off their 6speed manual trannys and roof rails ;)).

i got mine in auto... got tired of driving standard... my last car was a 91 celica with no power steering and stick... this time around. i want somethign bigger in auto with power steering and i choose the 5...

Hi Johnson Im from Toronto also. I have been reading this forum since sept last year when I got my 5 but could not post due to prob w/ my acct. Have not seen many 08s here in scarborough though, mine is pearl white

hey wmzda5.. i'm in the scarborough area too...

i wanted mine in pearl white too.. but i really couldn't stand the sand interior.... so i went with the galaxy grey instead...

i'm usually all over scarborough/markham/richmond hill area... my car is quite easy to find.. it's a grey 5 with morningside nissan license plate cover and a stubby antenna..

Ive seen one black GT in my son's school. Ive got a 07 by the way so interior is black. 5MT got it from Ajax Mazda. Got a stubby ant also from one of the shops in Pacific mall. Im still waiting for my summer rims that I bought from ebay, according to Fedex its in Mississauga Fedex awating release. Hope I see your car sometime.

Where did you buy your mazda? Finch and markham (Agincourt)? Is the service there ok? In case you know? I would like to transfer there for my maintenance/warranty service.

Is it ok to change dealership for warranty work? Tell me what to do to transfer, I got 6 yrs warrantee bumper to bumper....

Got the ADR sokudo 10 this morning....

i bought my car from agincourt mazda and found the service to be terrible! they always denied that i had problems and even told me that they had never heard anything about the suspension making noises in the cold... for which there were several TSBs. my car was also out of alignment when new and they refused to fix it. the final straw was when they told me my oil change would take an hour, but they ended up taking 4 and a half hours to do it! if they had told me it would take that long, i wouldn't have waited...

anyway, in my experience, scarboro mazda's service has been much much better. they genuinely care about any issues i have with the car, and even fixed my alignment for free, even though it was agincourt mazda's fault.
