Mugen Si and SC'ed Corolla XRS

^Hehe, well, tell him I said that!

And yeah, it pulls on the Si (albeit a stock one) pretty good.

Its def not worth $30k but it puts down about 170-180 whp and it was running against 225-230 whp. Stock for stock the Si wins.

true I guess. But I'm guessing that even with the supercharger, the corolla ends up being cheaper than the Si.

I'd hate to spend 30k on a civic and then still have to mod it for it to be somewhat quick. I guess thats what I'm saying.

Thats where the Civic Si comes in. The Mugen edition is more of "collectors" item b/c they only made 1000 but what collector buys a Civic. I feel its a bad investment and if someone were considering I'd hope they'd just buy the Si.

I've driven both the Si and Mugen Si and in the str8s they are identical. We didn't get to do any twisties in the Mugen.

I think the SI looks good, but wouldn't drop 30k on it. The Corolla looks to stock to me, there is nothing that really stands out about it other then the badge.

props to the corolla owner, such a nice job, honest to say i love that car, it's sleeper. civic, eh.

Rolla owner has been in contact w/a tuner mag that wants to do a 1 pg story on it. I'll let you know when I get more details but you might see some of those pics on the mag.

Yeah, but you know how the argument goes... you can get an F-body for $800 and blah blah. (kiss)

Corrolla moves...wonder what it does with a built motor. I'm sure that tranny my hold the power well. It's a 2.3 liter from the TC with a diff head or the motor from the Celica GT-S?

This is what the Mugen Civic Si should be...the Mugen RR*

I could never justify dropping $40k on a Civic, though. Looks nice, performs well, but it's still a Civic.
