Here she is... my new daily :) :

There is a 135 that is modded a bit and comes to the track with v710s (DOT race tires) and is pretty close to keeping up with me in my C6. They look oddly short, but you can't argue with the performance.

I also got a new daily. I did a Euro delivery of a B8.5 S4 in Germany back in September, and still waiting for it to get home. It cleared customs this week and I will hopefully get a call from the dealer any day now.

awesome car, figured if i ever had enough $ in the future id daily a 135, seems like a good compromise of luxury and sport while being small and not boaty.
when/ are you going to mod it?

Congrats again Michele! Im coming into the RWD game soon myself ;) With a widebody'd supercharged BRZ :P haha

When I get bored. It is still all new to me. And also doesn't really need much ;). Already have kw suspension :) looking at the dinan tune 93 HP and 83 ft/lbs torque

Thanks!! :). You'll have to share some pix. Why brz and not frs? Jw

I would have gone with the BRZ as well. The extra $1500 is worth it simply to not have to drive a Scion.

Dinan is starting to have the same problems with BMW that Stasis is having with Audi. They claim to uphold your original warranty, but really they are just backing it up. The problem comes in when something breaks and the manufacturer claims the tune is at fault and the tuner claims the failure is unrelated to the modification. The customer is stuck holding the bill or without a car while it gets sorted out.

The Statsis/APR tune for the S4 adds another 60-70awhp but just a clutch replacement is over four grand at stealership prices and labor rates, so I am very reluctant to mess with anything.

The main problem with the N54 is the fuel pump and it fails frequently regardless of mods, but I've heard BMW has started denying fuel pump replacements on tuned cars. This is most likely because they lost the class action law suit and had to increase the warranty to 8 years and 82k miles.

Like you said, it's all new now, but it's something to think about when the time comes.

paying 1,500 extra simply for a different badge is retarded imo. Just because you drive a subaru doesnt make you any better than a scion. Especially when toyota engineering the suspension to suit the frs. Unlike the brz which understeers when pushing it hard. The brz looses the soul it was intended for with a more refined comfortable chasis from what ive read. No point in getting the worse of the 2. unless you car about stupid options, again youd be looking at the wrong car.

I was not aware there was any difference between the suspensions. The price difference is actually $1300 and is simply to cover the cost of the HID's, the LED running lights, and the nav/infotainment system that are all standard in the Subaru. I don't think you are actually paying any more for the badge. I am sorry if I offended any Scion loyalists out there, but in the rest of the world the car is the Toyota GT-86, and I disagree with Toyota's decision to brand the car as a Scion in the US.

ANYWAY... back on track... Just bought my first race car over the weekend :)

For those of you that don't know, this is a Legends Car. WTF is that?.... Here are the basics:

weight: 1100 lbs.
hp: 180 hp
engine: 1250cc Motocycle engine
drivetrain: 5 speed sequential gearbox (just like a motorcycle)

Pretty much one of the most fun things I have ever driven (and I have a few different platforms under my belt).

:)

Putting some work into it. I'll post more pix as it comes. Pulled the engine yesterday.

Picking it up from the seller in Kingman

Oh, for those interested... here is a quick video from one of my races back in 2010 when I rented a car...

Looks like SAE F1 prototype but different shell , is that an R1 modified engine ? Put that engine in a SMART shell and you'd be more fun ...

ran the car for the first time this weekend at the LVMS Bullring. It went pretty well! Stoked to have this thing on the track in time for the INEX season!

Decals were done last minute, but not too bad for the first shake down!
