is the 1.6 drop on the goldlines 1.6 on the msp or 1.6 on the proteges and p5s? I"m just trying to figure out which is lower for the msp, sportlines or goldines?

but are they linear? i'm real persistant with this becaus ei really want to know, i need springs and i like the sportlines, but if they're progressive to hell with them (stooges)

according to eibach the sportlines and pro kit are progressive.
Apparently they are Progressive, its from their own site.

But if these are progressive what are a good set of linear?? How much more are they going to cost?

have you guys personally felt the difference in linear vs progressive? unless you autox or really need to tune your car i dont think you will notice a diff. Ive had pro kit, sportlines and ground controls on my cavalier. I can say that, on tuned struts the pro kit is nice, its not as bouncy, and by bouncy i mean oscillation wise. the sportlines are a nice drop but tend to wobble a bit more than pro kit. BUT for as low as they are i feel they handle nicely. And the ground controls are freakin stiff, mind you, you can get diff rates but the default ones are stiff and you can feel everything. They were ok, but personally i drive my car to much to stand the suspension that stiff. hope this helps a bit.

I'm trying to learn more about springs but this is a confusing thread lol. Everyone kept talking about progressive vs linear but it's hard to tell which is "better." And I've yet to see a set of springs mentioned that have linear on here.

Also what is the difference between the prolines and the sportlines. All I saw on this thread was "dont but pro's, but sportlines" but why?

And if lets say I got the sportlines they will improve handling or atleast keep it the same right? I don't want something to feel "bouncy" I like the cars rock solid feel as it is.

TY but it still gives almost no info on sportlines... i'm just a drop freak, if you saw my best friend's car you'd understand, and the front of the MSP is way off the ground, even tucking tires the front still sits higher than a parking curb (dunno) not to say that i just want the drop for looks but it helps, plus lower = lower center of gravity

Here is my msp with eibach sportline springs. The ride feels like stock, but it feels like i can take corners faster than I couls at stock height.

Honestly man, I have see your car on these boards a few times and I do have to say you have the best looking msp let alone four door I have seen in awhile man. Props to you on the wheel choice and the spring choice. Im thinking gold on laser blue, but its kind of iffy.

Hey me and my friend just got springs for our msp's. I got the GC's and he got the Teins so im gonna post some pics in the next few days after we install them.

has any one notice a decrease in handling when putting on springs. i know it brings the center of gravity down, meaning better handling. but with alot of cars that have tuned suspension, dont respons well to lowering springs it just throws off the measurements. for instance the eibach prokit. any input?
