so far ive had my sportlines for about 20000 miles and I love them. Drop is prefect with 1/4 tank and almost tucking with full tank. Ride is stiff and handles very well.
The sportlines sound really like a great spring. Hawaiin_Msp how were the Skunk2 as far as ride and handling. I had goldlines on my old car and they were terrible.
is posted these in the other thread but ill put them here too
sportlines, empty car, less than 1/4 tank of gas
fits less than my pointer finger in each well
I'm considering Progress and Eibach Sportlines. Sportlines will be lower, but I think the Progress springs are a little bit cheaper ($169 shipped from coximport.com), whereas Eibach's are usually much closer to $200 plus shipping.
Also, I can't seem to find any places that carry the Sportlines for the 99-03 Protege. Any tips? Where can I find them at the best price?
One final question - who has put the springs on their MSP or Protege themselves? I have done several spring/shock swaps on my CRX, but I've never worked with my Mazda. Is it difficult?
How do u all feel about the ground control coilovers?? old question but i don't have time to search right now. i'm leaning between them and the sportlines. cuz i wanna drop more than 1.8 inches. i want at least a 2 inch drop. what do u think? suggestions?? opinions??
Question for those of you that put the springs in yourself -
Did you have any sort of manual to guide you through the install? I'm sure I can figure it out myself, but I'm also kind of looking for torque specs to go by...
we need to see some more GC's and Skunk2's with some major droppage, even if just for picture taking purposes, i need a new background for my desktop, saw one down my street the other day must have been some GC's, spicy orange, and SSSOOOOOO LLOOWWWW mmmm i flipped when i saw it.
