MSP vs RX-8

First off all you guy's are" in-over your head". A Stock RSX Type-S, Type-R Integra, Civic SI, MP3, MSP, Celica GTS, Sentra SpecV, Focus SVT, Integra GS-R, Etcc will not beat a 6spd RX-8. The RX-8 nearly runs the same performance times as a Infiniti G35coupe. That's like me saying oh my MP3 (Stock) beat a Grand Prix GTP (stock). The only way you'll find these car's listed above to beat a 6spd RX-8 is, it'll have to be heavily modded beside's the ITR and MSP. The times i know that a RX-8 put's out is

0-60......5.9sec
1/4mile.14.5@96mph
Topspeed...150mph

If you are referring to a RSX-Type S and a RX8 6speed, this is incorrect...A type S may beat a Automatic RX-8...but the RX-8 6speed still puts down around 188whp average...of course bad driving and other things can make the race results sway, but a lightly equipped RX-8 is about the same weight as a RSX (the RX8 is heavier...but the torque and larger powerband easily make up for it)...whee did that come from? 0-60's on the RSX Type S are average around 1 second slower...
nah my mistake, it wasnt stock, it was a type-s with some bolt on mods..

well, there was a video from best motoring, july 2003 (?) that tested the rx8 against s2000, g35c, wrx (j-spec), rsx type r, and miata...and it came in 2nd to last. the 1/4 run was clocked at 15.2 i believe...

i remember i got bs'd for claiming to have beaten a rx-8....truth is their slow as s***...rsx's beat them...
nice kill?
I don't think a 14.8 in the 1/4 is slow as s***, people need to learn how to drive them , i have smoked many a rsx-s in the 8. On a back country road is where they shine:p

That was probably one of th pre-production RX-8's that had the intake porting solenoid problem...The Renisis has a system, which can basiacally be compared variable valve timing, in which the the size of the intake porting is increased at higher rpm...The automatic RX-8 does not have this, hence the lower redline...the 6 speed does, but Mazda did not work out all the glitches until the car went into showrooms...Most preproduction test cars were actually behaving similar to the automatic RX8's...in which above 7500rpm the power dwindled and the engine had a hard time accelerating smoothly...But even with the system working properly, the bhp ratings were stil high...so Mazda introduced their already used system of giving a discount or buying the car back...The final rating is 238bhp I believe, which isn't justified by the 188whp rating still...

SCC commented on it in there first test of it...in which they were dead sure the intake porting problem was apparent in their test car...They didn't even bother testing the cars acceleration for that very reason...But a lot of magazines did anyway, and for the most part were unaware that problem even existed...

I have seen plenty of RX-8 stock 6 speeds break easily into the mid 14's...

i'm pretty sure it was the final production one...i'm sure you can find a lot of info from rx8forum.com, where i got that from when i was still obsessed with the car.
you've actually seen the stock 8 do mid 14's? well i guess that's more comforting

I was watching this video with some British guy from a post I saw on the forum. Well anyway the RX-8 with every luxury option including Nav. tied a track time with the 350Z and M3 coupe, making this car faster than many of you turn them out to be.
