MSP stock wheel offset?

I assume you know of my tire woes. The winter rims that are close but not quite are 42. Nobody at the dealership or tire store knew the stock offset so I'll have to check my summer rims .... which has to wait 'til Friday.:(

Does anyone know the stock offset on the MSP wheels?
Thanks

they are at least a +50....and possibly as high as a +55.

they are the same offset as the MP3 wheels I believe....there is nothing that leads me to believe that they would be different.

Just to put this to rest ......... the msp stock Racing Harts have a 55 offset .... I took it right off the wheel .... good call Nuke.

dpmmsp...
Keep those Racing Harts on for tommorrow Please!!
look in the picture thread, i posted a picture of my car and the church...i hope this is where your thinking of meeting..

Btw tommorrow's weather has slightly changed.
-1 degree and chance of flurres

The offest on the MP3 I thought was +45...Why the change on the MSP I wonder?

It amazes me that people who don't own the car are telling people who do own the car what the offset is. I can only state what the offset is on the mp3, and that's 55. Why? because it's written on the rim. Why not get dpmmsp to check his since he's taking them off.

It should be written on the inside of the rim on one of the spokes. Until someone WITH a MSP does this..... I don't think anyone else is qualified to answer it.

Unless they purposely changed the offset of the MSP tire to allow for the wider 215's, it should be the same.

he ALREADY DID....SEVEN posts ago....and stated....its 55 mm....its right on the rim.

which rims and tires (size etc) did you go with. My car is delivered tomorrow, prepped for pick up on Monday and we are getting dumped with 5 inches here in suburban Detroit. I think I will take the car straight to Belle, any cost effective recommendations??

newf..
what size tires and profiles are you using on your MSP? Or what can fit it?

After all those years of owning your Mp3, Is your Racing Best sways still visibily 'Red'? Or are they soo dark with tar and grim, you don't even notice them?

Well, I have new sway bars now :) thanks to the infamous clunking noise. But, even the ones that came off about a month ago were good. Still shiney. Just try to go through some car wash that has a good underspray on it from time to time. I don't personally do this as I use the dealers car bay to wash mine, but it's a good idea.

As for the size of the 15's....not sure. I think he was using 195/60r15. Will double check tomorrow. I'm supposed to go up and take a better look at the msp tomorrow. Was going to today, but he wasn't around. Get this, the guy that is buying the MSP works at MAzda washing cars.....man....am I doing something wrong with my career?

The car came in, and it has a blemish on the rear bumper, like the paint is wrong. Very hard to notice but you can see it if you know it's there. Also, he's having troubles with the kenwood deck. It opens up half way, then closes itself again. Has to do a hard reset in order for it to open once closed. So, before he's even signing papers for it, he has to order new parts....crazy. I pitty him because the poor guy has been waiting since August and this happens.

I'm still not sold on the car. The color is still strange, and the stereo is a disappointment compared to the mp3's so far. I should have my mind made up tomorrow.

dpmmsp,

Can you find out the exact offset on your Enkeis?

If it is indeed 42mm, then I might be in trouble with the set I'm buying as their offset is 40 mm.

Thanks for your help.

They are indeed 42's .... 16" Enkei. They had to take off about 4mm off the back to make it work:mad: but it seems ok now.
