18's should work fine. i know the mazdaformance mp3-t is running a quaife and 18" volk TE37's.

if the dgm cf lip fits the 3.5's it'll fit the 3.7's....only thing they changed was the exterior color selection i believe.

but please no evo hood!!! it looks really bad on a protege (headshake

what is the 03.7? its the same car as .5. i dont think you can call color additions model changes.

i like the evo hood so it can vent hot air out, who knows maybe the shiny grill inserts on the hood will match my polished lip on the aerospeeds

why replace the clutch and flywheel so early? i personally would wait til either i was making enough power to surpass the stock pressure plate or the disk wore out before doing this. btw, what does stage 3 clutch mean? do you have a specific brand in mind already?

spend the money on exhaust instead and/or engine management

if you're getting 18s, don't go with anything less than Volk rims.... they are so light it doesn't matter that they're 18s .... other 18" rims will be really heavy and will decrease your acceleration because of the added rotational weight. your car is using more energy to turn them instead of going fast. seems like you want performance, so stick to light 17's. jred321 is rite too... don't waste money replacing NEW parts... wait until those parts are older and then replace them.

As far as 18's go. Go to Tire Rack, and get the SSR comp's if you want the lightest one's on the market. They are $399 a piece, but only weigh 15lbs, which is about 5lbs lighter per wheel than ours are. A friend of mine has these wheels on a '90 M3 in a color similar to the titanium, and they look awesome with the polished lip. Just my .02, but these are what I'll be getting when I can afford them.

Anyone, I have always wondered what an 03.7 is.

Seems that in 03.5, two colors became available. Yellow and titanium I believe. In 03.7 the blue and silver. I think that's what it was. I don't really care. If you go down to the dealer and pick up a brochure, it shows all colors as an 03.5. Just seems that some of them werent available until later. You could have found it by searching by the way.

well no one mentioned it. .but it said he wanted 10% all around. . IIRC he is from LI and that tint was 50% in NY

TripointEngineering.com Aluminum 7.42lb Flywheel
Clutchmasters STAGE III

i figure the 7lb flywheel for better acceleration and the clutch to grip harder ? or would it not matter for pushing 10psi

your stock clutch will hold up for a while at those power levels, there is no need to change it right off the bat. when you do have to change it i would suggest doing the flywheel at the same time, but until then there are better places to spend your money that you will see greater benefits from. i also like ACT over clutchmasters, but that's just me.

also cam gears aren't totally necessary right off the bat, there are other things that need improvement before these are done, imho.

nope, lsd works on any wheel size as long as the 2 sides have the same diameter, basically same wheel. Bad thing for example would be a 17 with a 18 or whatever combination as your lsd is gonna be working whenever the cars is being driven and that's gonna shorten its life like exponentially.
