MSP re-sale value

yeh, im lookin to keep my car for at least another year or so.....i turn 21 this sept. so insurance would be less on a nice evo or g35....im enjoyin my car for now thou...plus the nice boost in credit im gettin either way i figure a used msp in good condition would get around 15g.....when blue book value is estimated they dont look at what the dealers and mazda did at the end of the production year to sell the msp's....they look at retail and depreciate it from there right? i think the rarity alone would get us a good 15g trade in value and 17-18g private.....right?

yea of course you could get about 2.5k more for it than you could buy it new

Thanks, Glhboy. Perhaps others have simply combined the college cash with the regular $500 to get the $1000 total.

My college days ended in 1980 so that though didn't register with me.

My college days are over too. There is also a bonus incentive for $500 if the dealer hits their sales goal with Mazda.

yeh thats why my mom bought a 00 accord for 17k and is was worth 17k in the begining of 03 when she was lookin at crv's...dont be a dick....dealer incentives and rebates and s*** dont hold nuttin on the value of the car.....if that was the case...then we would all have cars of different value basied on the different rebates and incentives and deals.....cars are valued off its retail value.....as soon as there is no more msp's left new....and there is an actual blue book value, the orginal 21k retail price is gonna be factored in and depriciated off that

Ah, more good information. I couldn't for the life of me believe they were going into their holdback to sell me the car. This bonus incentive explains what happened.
