On top of the fact that the 626 was a previous Mazda model (pre- Mazda6?). My mom used to own an old 626 now that I think of it. We got rear ended bad in it and it was totalled however.

Hey guys just got a MSP about 3 weeks ago now. Called and got my production number of #2697
Yay! for limited cars! .....except when it comes to parts!

important parts are still easy enough to find... its just some of the visual stuff that's hard to replace... congrats on getting one of the last 54 MSPs. lol

It's all good for us with MSP's. Parts are not that hard to come by being as there are many silmilar parts used between the MSP/P5/ES. Anything turbo related is the only differences really. Even the body panels are similar (with the exception of the rear bumper stuff...I believe).

Congrats on the "new" car and also at the same time... I'm sorry.

front bumper is slightly different, and the 03 splitter and 03.5 lip are becoming nearly impossible to locate...

See... Mazda should've just made the 03.5 lip the 03 lip as well. None of this mixing and matching. A perfect MSP would've been...

-AWD
-FMIC
-03.5 front lip
-03 rear lip
-03 cat-back
-03.5 RH's
-03.5 Wing (the 03 looks too much like a Ford Mustang wing)
-Better bucket seats
-Steering wheel that isn't painted.

-FMIC - My FMIC kit is costing me like $220
-03.5 front lip - agreed
-03 rear lip - I like the 03.5 better, and the 03 was reused from the MP3
-03 cat-back - again, I prefer the 03.5
-03.5 RH's - I don't think they look right on some of the colors... 03 or 03.5
-03.5 Wing - Agreed, but like an inch shorter..
-Better bucket seats - OH HELL YES.
-Steering wheel that isn't painted. - um.. yeah...

BUT these are all opportunities to upgrade... and modify to make the "perfect" MSP... not that such a thing exists. lol lets not lie, these cars are flawed. but half the time I feel like thats why we love em!

We are just masochists... gluttons for Mazda oriented pain. I guess that makes us Mazdochists.

hey we mod cars, we don't have to agree. lol thats why we end up with vastly different styling on the same platform. if we all modded our cars to look exactly the same... well s*** we may as well drive civics!

haha thanks! so just a classification question....All of the lazer blue proteges are 03.5 right? how come some have a different spoiler and an added lip on the front bumper. Sorry for the newb question

the 01 MP3 came in laser blue also (i think its the same paint code) which is why it has a different wing and no front lip and has fog lights....

If an MSP looks like this and is laser blue its because someone modded it.
