MSP motor swap! Transmission questions

I am in need of a new motor for my msp
I have found several low mileage 2000 626 motors for a great price but they where from an automatic

I read somewhere that it will not work with the msp trans because of the starter? 2 bolt vs 3 bolt and other reasons i cant remember

Is this true or should I be able to use a 626 motor that had a auto trans?

(I have searched through the forums with no luck...)

Any help would be great!

You need a newer version of the 626 Engine.

Not sure about america, but itll have the crap crank prolly too. Cast vs forged.

i thought 2000 and up had the forged cranks tho?

The motor is the same, does not matter which trans it has.
