MSP hit boost and jerks/hiccups...

Ok this has been going on for a while and is really bugging me, because i cant figure it out. When i accelerate during boost i get slight jerks or hiccups. I tried replacing the wastegate actuator...wasnt that. i am baffled, not to mention i dont know much about these cars, or turbo cars in general.
 
turbo lagg? just saying try turning it down i'd tell ya how but i dont know how. i seen the turbo vavle on most cars but mine dosent have one i have turbo tho just dont kno how to turn it down or up
 
there is no lag with the t25. If the car doesn't have a boost controller, than you won't be turning any boost down.
 
It's probably a good idea to pull the plugs and check and read them to see what is going on. Also while your at it check and tighten all of the clamps(intercooler, turbo, throttle body). I would also do a seafoam treatment to top clean the engine and put the rest in your gas tank when filling up. If you have never changed your PCV then pick up a Purolator PV 1047 and put it in. And what is the condition of your air filter? Even with the factory pcm the boost delivery should not be jerky. Mine never has been since buying it brand new. You don't need a piggy back/tuner to have a great running MSP. At least that has been the case for me over the 94,000 miles that I have racked up on mine. Keep it simple and rule out the basics before spending money on unneeded parts.

just putting it out there because when I got my car several years back, I did all of that. Changed and gapped spark plugs, changed air filter, swapped coils and wires and did a seafoam treatment and it did nothing. Dealt with the hesitation and also the brick wall that most stock MSPs are known for for the longest time. Finally took the plunge and picked up a used SSAFC and just like that, my issues were gone and never came back. Im not saying there may not being pre existing issues. but for the most part, most of the threads from new owners regarding this issue end up with the same result once everything else suggested has been tried. The stock tune speaks for itself though, we all know that. All you need is a wideband to see that
 
You guys really think it could just need a tune? pratically everything is new on the motor atleast thats what the shop says. The car ended needing a new motor when i got it. so it should have new plugs and everything. Im thinking it could be vaccum lines :/. Its making me stresses because theres so much it could be, and already have sooo much money in this car... (not in mods)
 
Ive been having a similar problem, at full boost it jerks like crazy, sometimes struggles under a load or going up hills now.
I replaced my spark plugs and set them to 30 like has been said on the forums, when i brought it to the mechanic they found the spark plugs covered in unburned fuel, they gapped them to 40, and now i blow gas smoke out my exhaust everytime i take off.. what would you say is the best gap?
 
Thats what i read up on here, so thats what i put them at, and the mechanics pulled the plugs out and they were covered in unburned fuel, so they replaced them and set them at oem recommended numbers. its at 40 now and i blow smoke that reaks of pure fuel haha. and got the code for bank one reading too rich
 
what else could it be?

also do you think camshaft sensor could be a part of the hiccuping/loss of power problem?

Th stock tune doesn't make the car jerky. It will make the car feel like it is driving through mud and give some vary inconsistent power delivery, but it does not cause the car to jerk unless it misfires. A cylinder can be too rich to fire, but the stock tune should not do that without some other problem present. A wideband or at least an OBDII scan tool is very useful in these situations. If you have an exhaust leak or a bad 2 reading lean, the PCM will add fuel to compensate and could eventually misfire.

What is your gas mileage like?
 
usually like 20, lots of city driving. since this problem i havent gotten a reading yet, just filled up yesterday so we'll see what it does there, hopefully the problem is fixed before that tank runs out ha. going to talk to a mechanic again today about o2 sensor, camshaft sensor and fuel filter, but that misfire because its too rich sounds convincing too hah. thanks
 
Ok, keep an eye on it. I'd seriously suggest buying a wideband. Also buy an ELM327 bluetooth OBDII device, and the Torque app if you have an Android device. There is Windows software as well but the decent ones cost quite a bit.

Have you tried replacing the plugs yet? This car goes through plugs pretty quickly. However, when they've gone on mine it is more like a rumble similar to pinging in the mid RPM range, not a jerking sensation. NGK V-power's are only $2 a piece, and we only need four of them, and they take about 10 minutes to swap out, so it's an easy thing to rule out.
 
the jerking went away for the most part, the mechanic put in new plugs at 40 gap. the plugs he took out were at 50-46-44-41! so the previous owner was strange..... and i never looked at them ha. I feel like 40 is way too high. Today i cleaned the cold pipe and ran the car for a while, and at a point i couldnt get the car to lag at all.. i was full throttling it on the highway ramps etc it was all good. then it started pouring and im back to square one! im thinking about setting the plugs to 28, since at 30 they didnt burn the fuel they were given
