so tonight at about 11:20 i heard something like a crash, then my car alarm went off and i hear some on take off in a car. so i went to my garage and find my fucken windshield busted and my hood dented. then tryin to find what happened i see foot prints on my windshield, not just one but three foot prints. called the cops and when they came all they did was just look at the car and have me fill out a damn report. why the hell do they even bother if they aren't gonna do s*** about it. but yeah that was how my night went.

jealous a-holes!

Damn man that sucks!!!

Call Dog the bounty hunter and have him hand out some justice!! :)

I had something similar happen with a previous car. They won't do a damn thing. It sucks. My car had freakin prints all over it too. They had jumped on the roof and hood and left hand prints on the windshield and back glass. I guess they would have to have a record to have their prints on file anyway but they basically told me they would do nothing regardless.

I guess that's what insurance is for but it just sucks to have to file a claim for something that you have zero fault in.

IF there are visable prints (weather permitting and circumstances play a factor), they will process the vehicle for vandalism. They COULD take pictures of foot prints that will give possible shoe size, weight of suspect and what kind of shoe, but that wont help because that could still match a number of suspects, not to mention anyone in the neighborhood. Best thing to do is to ask neighbors if they saw anything or if they have heard that same vehicle before. Usually certain vehicles will give distinctive sounds (i.e. local rice.. lol). Usually in cases like this, it will be someone you know or someone who has it in for you.. ex-gf, ex-friend, someone you got into a fight with at school or a bar, etc. Other than that, unless they could actually SEE finger prints and lift them, they can only give you a report to file with your insurance company. If the finger prints ARE lifted and they send away to find who they belong to and match NO ONE, then it's pretty much a dead end. They will keep them on file for a while, but still...

And no, it doesn't work just like it does on TV. It's pretty hard to lift prints. It can't be smudged or a partial print (which you get if say someone was to pry, use tools, open windows with force, etc.) It's got to be almost perfect. Usually if they send the crime lab out, it's for burglaries, homicides, etc. Felony crimes.. not misdemeanors. Waste of manpower and resources mostly. There were actually two vandalisms here where two other officers had their vehicles vandalised. Do you know what they did? Made a report. No evidence to collect at the scene except for a few foot prints but that was it, they didnt process them, just took pictures for insurance. One of the cruisers had all of his windows shattered and keyed all along the sides. He was pretty PISSED about it, especially since it happened at his residence, but they never did an investigation and they didn't find out who did it. Sucks when something happens right in front of your nose and you wanted to catch the *&%#$ that did it. Keep an eye open, you may get wind of talk from someone close to you.

Thanks for the lesson Kristine ;-) As I said. They won't do anything. It sucks.

Sorry to hear about that. Hopefully a neighbor or someone saw the bastard. Where in honolulu do you live anyways?

WOW, a lil too much info.

same type of s*** happened to me about a month ago, and they actually stole stuff off my car, i heard them ran downstairs with my gun in hand, and chased them but they were to far in front for me to catch, there were prints and s*** all over my things, becuase they dropped them, they didnt do s***, but all find them , and bust there knee caps.

I guarantee you one thing.... bastards like that will pass by again to see their handiwork or to show off to their friends. ... keep your eyes peeled..... listen to every car that passes by .. look at every ricer that passes by, and look for the ones acting suspicious. set a trap... if you're patient, you WILL bag the fuckers.... dumbasses like that just can't help but gloat...

damn dude...that sucks... i hope those bastards get what they deserve in the end.

thanks man, i live in palolo.

But there was someone that was driving by that heard my alarm and so down to look what was goin on when he saw 2 guys and a chick running back to the car.
The car was a newer vw 1.8t silver. and i have an idea of how did it. i would go hunt his ass down but he's an ice head so i don't wanna mess wit that kind of person

Yeah thats true. I'm not sure if it will do anything but you could tell the whoever did the report that you have someone in mind and that you have a description of the car and such.

the witness told the cops the license plate # and the discription of the car, but the cop said with out any physical evidence they couldn't do anything. but what's done is done, can't do anything about it. and what goes around comes around.

Hopefully insurance will help cover it. You could probably pick up a cf hood and have the insurance cover the windshield if your deductible is $500. Hopefully someone comes and messes with them so they know how it feels to have to pay for s*** they didnt do.
