MSP getting some more upgrades!!!

yeah the ION one is killer, and there is nothing shabby with the magnus either :)

I beg to differ, the magnus system that I got took lots of modification to fit. The only good thing about it is the Saber muffler.

That sucks, were you the guy that had all the problems? I know that there was another guy in Toronto that had it and it worked great for him. However as you know he had them install it for him, I also noticed that they no longer list it on their site.

Oh yea, and the rear section broke because the piping was ultra thin. The muffler shop I took it to said that it was the thinnest piping he had ever seen on any exhaust system. The hanger broke clean off of the pipe and took a 1" chunk of the pipe with it. If I could sell this POS and get the iON, then I would. But I feel like I would be ripping off whoever I sold it to.:(

yea, that was me. The tool you speak of is xsivspd, and yes it is no longer on their site because others had problems with it too.

wow that is crazy, yeah it must be super thin to tear a chunk like that out of a pipe

I guess you had no luck getting them to return your money? not sure what you can do to sue them from the US but I am sure that you already thought about all of that.

Nope, they said I could return it for shop credit, but yea right. What would I do with a grand of credit when they don't offer anything else for our cars?

What exactly do you mean when you say that the maps will be off when changing boost? I was planning on having one controller set at 10, with map A on the tuner tuned for 10... then I will have the other controller set at 16 with map B on the tuner tuned for 16. I thought that I had it all figured out, but now you got me second guessing myself. (uhm)
I didnt mean to confuse you here.. my fault.

To change between maps with the extra injector setup you need to use a laptop. MPNICK mentioned there was a switch you could buy to switch from map A-B but it wouldnt work for the extra injector setup, only for the stock injectors.

That is basically what i do, for the most part. I have maps in incriments of 2psi.6-12psi i just have to spin my joep mbc in:) im probally gonna get an EBC soon.

that will work fine if you have a laptop to switch between maps.

here is my injectors.

you will be fine running the T25R @ 16psi. you're right; at 18psi the efficiecy begins to drop off. it will produce upwards of 25psi though.

werd, I think it will be fine at 16. Nick says that the stock msp fuel pump is pretty good, but I still would like to have the insurance of a higher flowing pump. So nobody has any suggestions besides the Walbro? I've never really researched pumps before so I'm not sure if there is something out there that would be better for my application.

You really can't go wrong with the Walbro, but some folks here run the Pierberg In-Line fuel pump and highly reccomend it. I personally have nothing but good things to say about the Walbro unit.

The Pierberg pump can be found @ www.flyingprotege.com

Right on. I definitely want to go with an in-tank pump, so it looks like walbro it is. Now I just need to go find a good price.:)

You should be able to hook a switch up to one of the wires to the MPI so you can switch from map A or B. As long as you have both maps setup to give the right amount of fuel and timing for whatever PSI you will be running it should work. Like if you had map A setup for 10PSI and the car ran great with the right A/F ratio's, then map B setup for 15PSI and all was correct for that map, then the switch thing would work. There just won't be any in between, you have to go with the 2 maps. Now the way Paulmp3 does his is a great idea also, it gives you a broader range of maps, but no switch.

Nick put one of his units on a MSP in N.J. with a bad intercooler and it ran a 13.7 in the 1/4 mile. Not positive what the boost was, but I think it was 15PSI. He said that if there was a better intercooler on there, it could of went faster. So I'd like to see what your beast would do with the setup you have.

That's what I was hoping to do, I was even thinking about having just 1 switch control both the dual stage and the tuner so it would just be a flick of a switch to change.

Yea, I heard about that guy. He had a talon IC or something like that.

You and me both, haha. I'll probably be getting in touch with you and paul if I have any issues.

the block should be fine seeing as it's iron. i heard somewhere that someone tested the block to 20 psi. as for the fuel pump, walbro is basically the best. might as well stick with them.
Joe took his up to 21PSI on the dyno long, long ago :)
