MSP getting some more upgrades!!!

Looking good, as usual. I think the paint on the grills is a big improvement. Got a linky to where you got that grill material?

those connecting rods look pretty heavy.....more weight = slower car right? lol

hahaha, don't worry man, the weight reduction from the CF hood will offset the added weight from the new rods, lol.

I hate my UPS guy sometimes. I got home today and saw this chilling on the doorstep... it was there for two days:

Oh well, from the measurements that I just took, I am pretty certain that this radiator will fit with the stock fan assembly AND the iON FMIC. I will find out later today after the engine has cooled down.

Hey, does it have brakets for the stock fans, or did you upgrade?

It seems like it has brackets for the stock P5 fans, not the MSP fans. I didn't know if there was a difference or not before, but my stock fans don't line up with the brackets quite right. Everything fits without any rubbing, but not all of the holes are being used to secure the fans. So far so good, I do think I will be getting some slimfans in the near future though.

360 from SPD racing. Best deal I have ever seen for this piece.(yippy)

I bet it runs much much cooler now. And I wonder how much your fan will come on, if ever :)

No noticeable change on the stock temp gauge... not that it would show up on that gauge even if there was a signifigant change, but there isn't.:) I am more than positive that this will cool better at the extreme than the stocker did though.

The fans come on just as frequently... maybe when the slimfans go in they will come on less.

Hmm interesting. I remember seeing a thread somewhere here that had a way to stop the fan from coming on all the time. Cause with the much improved cooling of that core I would think it would be able to do that.

Like if you had the fan set only to come on when the temp actually got to a high level. Cause perhaps the new core will cool just as good as the old core + fan combo you used to have. Cause I know everyone hates that little hit the car takes when the annoying fan comes on every few minutes. Just an idea though :)
