ChopstickHero said:you change the oil every 2k? wow, that's a waste of money. and 5w20? what does your manual suggest you using... shouldn't it be 5w30 if you are living up there? i personally use 10w30 because of the warmer climate.
you should change your spark plugs, check vacuum lines and make sure there are no oil leaks. 155 miles on a tank is ridiculously low mileage. i get that at less than half a tank used. i usually get my gas light around 330-340 miles. i drive just city on weekdays and some highway on weekends.
edit: my last tank got me 347miles, filled up 11.7 gallons = 29.66mpg

HFD45 said:lets see the tank reads empty now...im gonna run 91 Octane and track my mileage and compare
Matrix said:Do you not have 93 octane available in NY? (poke)
Matrix said:Cool.....but to be honest, I think you have another problem that is contributing to your abysmal gas mileage. Cheapo low-octane gasoline can cause problems, but getting only 155 miles per tank is something else.

He Sold This Addative To A Company In Hawaii That Had 5000 Vehicles, Which Ran A Test On A Group Of 200 Vehicles (mixed Between Trucks, Cars, And Diesels) In All Cases They Reported Gains Over 2mpg And Cleaner Emissions. The Diesels Benefitted The Most With Less Moisture In The Fuel And Gains Over 5mpg. Another Major Benefit Of Acetone Is That It Destroys Carbon Build Up... This Was Found On A Few Vehicles Reaching Thier Tune-up Check Point, These Vehicles Spark Plugs Were Clean Along With The Cylinders And Piston Faces. Some Investigation Showed That The Acetone Also Helped To Clean The Fuel System And Break Up Clogs.
The Problem With Acetone Is That When You Weigh The Cost To Benefit Gas Companies Would Lose Too Much Income Because Of Two Factors. Factor One Acetone Is A Manufactured Substance Not A Refined Natural Substance (manufacturing Costs), And Factor Two Is That With Increased Mpg Sales Would Be Drastically Reduced.
