I need to replace my front motor mount and I get this one from the dealer, is this the right one for the msp because the label says Mazda 01, I'm assuming is for a 2001 protege. They use the same mount. Thanks for your help

Looks like the right one, side mount and rear are MSP specific. Front is shared with Protege, P5, MP3.

Could you explain why the side and rear are different for the MSP as other 3rd gen proteges? I have seen both and can't see a difference and the AWR mounts I have are universal for the 3rd gen Pro. The only difference I know of is the trans if it's a MTX or ATX. If I'm wrong just let me know because I would like the right info.

Well, I could be wrong. Just that I recall seeing what I posted in the past. This is from The Man's protegefaq.net:
3rd generations:
AWR is the only company known to make polyurethane mounts for the 2.0L engine
cars. They are replacements for the #1 and #2 engine mounts. AWR also recently
released polyurethane inserts for the stock #3 and #4 engine mounts. If you have a
2.0l manual transmission car, you can also get the #3 engine mount from the
MazdaSpeed Proteg. They are made of a stiffer rubber material but still allow
acceptable NVH levels for a daily/street driven vehicle. The MazdaSpeed #3 engine
mount part number is BP7H-39-06Y

AWR/SLS etc mounts are indeed universal.

So essentially they are about the same but the MSP came with a stiffer rubber? I've never heard of this, but if this is the case then more people should be aware of this. There are always threads popping up asking where people can get stiffer mounts but don't want poly mounts. Wonder if anyone else can chime in.

One of the very first upgrades i did to my P5 was bought the MSP #3 timing belt side mount...I purchased it as soon as Ed (theMan) listed MSP parts were available for dealership order, which was before the MSP was officially on sale...

It did make a difference with a manual P5, but was still very mild overall...wheel hop with the stock mounts was absolutely ridiculous, the MSP mount marginally helped...but the AWR front and rear 94's obviously made a huge difference...

I never heard of a MSP 'rear' mount...i thought it, too, was the same...but in either case, if you're even lightly modified...avoid stock mounts altogether...

^ That's good to know. I honestly didn't know that there was a difference in stiffness between the MSP and regular Protege mounts. Seeing as by the time I'm done my build it won't matter because all I'll stand to have are my 94's. But like I said it's good info for lightly modded drivers.
