MSP down... this is what happens when people don't look

So the MSP is down...and might be out for the count.

I was driving down the road and a guy in a POS mini-van cut into on coming traffic (across a double solid line) right in front of me leaving me with 15-20ft to stop....On top of that he tried to leave the scene but the POS wouldn't move.

needless to say I'm a little pissed off right now...

Sorry to hear this. Hopefully you get to keep the car. i've already made a pact with my MSP. if it gets totalled i'm going to buy it from the insurance company.

apparently he tried to leave twice...once on foot and the cops stopped him. No one told me about it until after because I would have been charged with murder after that...

thats what we call a silver lining. It would seem the spicy curse has ended at least... haven't seen one of those get turned into shrapnel/scrap in a while.

mine was from a damn deer...not as bad as yours but my damage/labor/parts was 6,000 bucks and they didnt total it. hopefully u will get lucky too.

Most important thing -- glad to hear you're okay!

Second most important thing -- are they charging the guy who hit you with everything possible? Like attempting to flee the scene and yadda-yadda? Is it up to you to press those charges or what? Cause if I were you, I'd be doing everything in my power to make sure the other driver was punished as much as possible.

Third most important thing -- I hate to say it, but I'm 99% sure that's gonna be totaled. The front end damage looks almost identical to what totaled out my MSP. I also had some minor rear end damage, but still, I don't think the difference is gonna be enough to save you.

I am pretty sure its totalled too and it kills me to think about it. If someone gives me the choice to press charges I'm going to prosecute like no one has every seen before.

I just hope I can strip the parts off the car and get enough money back to pay off what I owe plus a little

Man that sucks. If they don't total it, I can probably get you most of the parts you need. Recyclage P.A. has a complete front end. I have rads, condenser, etc...
