MSP Carwash safe?

I live in an apartment complex with no car care station, hate those bay style DIY carwashes, and touchless washes don't do jack. I've got an increadible carwash that does a beautiful job near my neighborhood that I used to take my cars to before I got the MSP, but I'm paranoid about the big ass spoiler. Anybody know how well the MSP's spoiler stands up to standard car washes? It's a 03.5, btw.

I used to keep my cars spotless, but I've been seriously neglecting the MSP because of this. I know it's my fault the car is dirty, there are ways I could keep it clean, but I work two jobs and free time is precious.

It's absolutely fine- you don't have to worry about it coming off- its on there really well. I use car washes all the time- they don't scare me nearly as much as how much the spoiler shakes at highway speeds!

The spoiler will be fine, but those things are terrible for paint, which mazdas don't have much of.

i hate those machines i really do hand car wash and is the best way to keep the car clean and spotless. proffesional car detailing is the best way to keep the paint like new. imo

I agree, hand washing would be ideal, but I've got no real options as far as that's concerned without going to one of those quarter eating bays.

i personally REFUSE to take my car to any carwash other then the one in my driveway! im a car freak! hand wash is the best by far for the paint!!!

For my car's one year b-day (July) I want to take it to get detailed. Does that sound stupid? When I say it to myself it sounds really depressing.

You make it sound like car washes will strip your paint. Maybe you didnt read, but this guy lives in an apartment. Machine wash is way better than no wash at all.

use a super soaker and a bucket of water. Drive the car up to the building and squirt out the window, then use the bucket.

I'm a manager at a carwash. It will not scratch your paint. I run mine through every other day, and my paint is perfect, I don't have a mark on it. I've been doing this since I bought the car in October. Mine still looks like it did the day I picked it up, but I also ultra-gloss it once a day, and wax every couple weeks. But I wouldn't worry it should be fine. (make sure you fold in the mirrors before going through)

He's not kidding. When I saw his car it was spotless.

As for all the "hand wash" comments he's saying he simply doesn't have time between jobs and life in general and that's understandable so handwashing isn't an option no matter what.

Dakidd has had great luck at the scruffy duck in Apex you might consider there. Which was over by you is so good? I might check it out.

Autowash Express off of Six Forks and Strickland does a bang-up job. I'm a good tipper, and I'm fairly certain they remember me, but everybody I've talked to that's used them has been very complimentary.

I live in an appartment in LA during the school year, just make friends with someone who has a house with a hose and bring your own bucket and soap and towels and stuff. I know what you mean about not having time, full time student with a job and a girlfriend, I've been so busy I washed my car in the rain before then pulled into my parking garage to dry it. Too keep it clean longer i wax it when i can and cover it whenever i can especially for overnight parking. Also consider a car duster once you've gotten it clean and waxed.

Is that the one directly across the street from Homedepot? Aren't they part of the "bell" family which is kind of notorious for using nasty towels on your car? I'm just so weiry I do it myself but there are many situations where I don't have the time either and tire of a dirty car.

well like is said before the best way to keep your car spotless is a really profetional hand wash and detailing i do that every week and i keep my baby very clean. i do a very good hand wash and car detailing( im starting a car wash bussines)
