msp build parts (preview!!....:)

thanks maxx!

Progress has been pretty steady lately so within the next two she might be back on the the road or at least really really close.

Why did he go back to the stock slow IM? I've got to give him and you a call.

motors in the car :) ..sorry for the crappy cell pics, but didn't have the camera with me.

looks good sanders. now I know what my intake and exhaust setup is going to look like.

hells yea. I can't wait to see the difference in spool up. Last summer on the stock head and stock IM I hit full boost at roughly 46-4700rpm. Now with the speedcircuit head/cams and rich's IM it should wake up a lot earlier:) hopefully 4000.

im doing all the port work on my head and running integral cams stage 2 and 3. very similar set up but you got that big ass turbo. going to need to upgrade if the new motor actually produces decent numbers.

good luck man with the rest of the build up. you're crazy far along and after all the s*** you been through, you deserve some serious reliable power, at least a few good runs :)

is tht a T3/T4? i was looking at a t3/t4 61mm and if thats what you have, let me know how the spoolup is
looks gigantic though lol

thanks scott! I was sooo close to getting rid of the car after the last motor took a s***, but I have faith that this one is going to be tip top. Good luck with your speed too, I really dig what you've done with the new wheel setup.

Yup, its a T3/T4R, basically a 60-1 ball-bearing turbo. http://www.turbobygarrett.com/turbobygarrett/catelog/Turbochargers/BB/T3T4R_757197_5.htm
Its a big mother but hits hard...haha. On the stock cylinder head with crower cams at 13psi on a mustang dyno it put down 275whp last year. Its efficiency range is around18psi +, so techincally I haven't even begun to make power with it...yet;)

dam 275? thats awesome, what kinda transmission upgrades you have to handle that kinda power, if any?
i was planning on getting the GTX gears, Mfactory lsd, and a stage 2 clutch...i may have to think about a stage 2+, or stage 3 though after hearing those numbers lol

Thanks bro. Ya, I welded up a new msp lsd last summer after the stock one split and I'll be at 6 to 12 psi until I am able to afford a set of GTX gears.

Sounds like a sweet setup , I would opt for the stage 3 because boost is a helluva drug ..hehe
