Fatter tires are a big help especially you in FL where you don't have to worry about getting by snow with fatter tires.

At lower speeds yes it would but after the first 3 gears you'd only be able to go maybe 1.5 bar, I would spin the tires at 10 on the slightest of bumps. Keep the tires planted and it's crazy.

I'm going to try out some drag radials at the stock size and see how those work out.

Haha ,yea for now the weather is perfect so not to worried. I'm going to search for a cheap DD after I get the msp running smoothly.

Yeah, no A/C is fine right now, but, next few months and that black a/c less MSP will be an oven!
 
I bought a used turbosmart e-boost-40 from a friend which should be here tomorrow.

It has 3 different boost settings, over-boost shutdown, and gate pressure which is the coolest part. Basically, you can determine the pressure at which the wastegate begins to open.
"By optimising the gate pressure and keeping the wastegate closed as long as possible, you're desired boost will be achieved faster and at lower RPM. Substantial gains in torque will be achieved!" quoted from the instruction book.
 
looks like a souped up version of AEM's boost gauge/controller. Here's hoping the manual isn't just BS. lol

No it works. My friend keith who sold it to me had it on his WRX with big turbo. He was able to adjust the gate pressure on the dyno. Before the adjustment, he was hitting full boost at 5100rpm, after it 4100rpm.
 
thats SWEET! that could earn you a couple tenths in the quarter if you can keep the power on the ground... could help out in autoX too... basically putting a ton more area under the power curve for 1000 RPMs.
 
I would've gone with HKS EBC VI - it's got everything you need but its pricey for some reasons, lol.

I have given up trust on most EBC or MBC just bc they fail and the consequences are very hard.
Very few are trust worth it but damn $$
