msp build parts (preview!!....:)

Sander, sorry to see that man. ******* clowns.

thanks bro. it does suck , but I have a lot of confidence in the guy who is building my motor now. Plus I'm pretty darn excited to be back on a 9:0.1 compression piston (JE) at 0.20 overbore. I'm going to need all the help I can get to spool up my turbo.

My new pistons were shipped today (thanks shabaka)as well as my new bearings. If everything goes as planned I should have the car running by sometime near thanksgiving.

Unfortunately, I don't have the extra time for the Doc B racing oil pump, but its something I will definitely look into down the road. As for now, a brand new OEM oil pump is going on the motor and along with the AWR oil pan, I hope my oil pressure problems will cease to exist.

im sure that the DOCB oil pump flows more but guys i talked to a really good dodge mechanic and he said yeah that is cool and most of the FSDE motors blow because of oil starvation but if you upgrade the oil pumps the journey ways in the block are the same size so its not going to help that much unless you were to port those journey ways in the motor and that is theoretically impossible. but this was just his opinion, but it makes sense to me.
Its not about lack of flow that makes his pump better..its the mods and the external PRV that allows the pump do to its job...
Pump the oil
...Which in stock form becomes a problem due to caviatation and foaming of the oil at sustained higher RPM's.

Foamy , aerated oil doesn't flow well nor lube your engine vitals too well. ;)

this is kinda thread jacking so sorry guys but i have read DocB's thread and i understand what he done to the oil pump but what was he mounting on his firewall and what was its purpose?

That's the external pressure release valve that takes place of the stock internal one that has been blocked.

"The sandwich plate would need two lines. One out and one in. The external PRV will have three ports on it: oil in, oil out, and bypass oil. You will have a hose from the sandwich plate to the external PRV, a line out of the external PRV back to the sandwich plate, and a line from the bypass port on the external PRV to the MBSP."

thanks :)

Just got a call from the machine shop and the block is going to be delivered first thing tomorrow morning. Hopefully we can get on it and get the motor assembled by the weekend possibly in the car.

OMG...this is gonna be SICK. I want a manifold that spells sex like that. That is a real DP to be proud of. We SO gotta do a photoshoot b4 you leave to Orlando.
