The people out there boosting 9-12psi on stock fuel are nuts... that or i just got a car that wasnt as rich as everyone elses...
Anyways, I hit the local Chassis Mustang Dyno today... here is the outcome:
158.1hp @ 5850rpm on 7psi (roughly 178fwhp if it were dynojet)
156.6tq @ 3600rpm on 7psi (roughly 176fwtq if it were dynojet)
my tq is pretty much flat from 3600-5625 then starts to fall off gradually
my HP is a steady climb until it hits 5850rpm and becomes as flat as a board all the way to redline.
My A/F numbers started off rich at about 11.0 up until about 4600rpm in which it steadily climbed to a stoichmetric reading of 12.15 by 5200rpm and then gradually fell back to about 11.9ish by redline
(i'll post the A/F map as well as the dyno graph as soon as I can get this damn card reader to work)
SO... the moral of the story is: tune your own car... do not listen to idiots on forums that say "run 10 lbs safely on stock fuel"... because my car is a prime example that each car reacts differently to different mods and boost levels...
Boost Smart... Boost Safe...
