slicks and radials are 2 different things, with radials the only thing you might brake is the axles(if you don't drop the clutch this won't be a problem)

Im gonna be hard and try to get a 1.9 60 ft by launching at 4k... 13.7 or bust.

Nice, was this at VMP? I was thinking about coming and saying hi, but I had to help a friend with his brakes (hope they work now!). Sometime we should meet up at VMP. Our next autocross is the 4th @ Cloverleaf Mall off of Midlothian, you should come to that. MSPs were made for autox!

if the axle breaks, i take the DRs off, the mbc off, and goto mazda and get a new one.
Id be really pissed if theyre that weak too, since id have about 190 whp...

yeah because axle breaks on a new STOCK car are very common....I'm sure the dealer won't look for a splice in your boost control line or anything. Hang onto your dreams son, they're all you're gonna have when something on your car breaks.

Just kidding. Nice run! How did the slicks effect the tourqe steer though the top of first and full boost in second? Did it amplify the feel, or hook up and go straighter?

Um, as long as they don't find any evidence of the mbc, it will be covered. I put my firebird through absolute hell- drag racing every weekend during the summer. I even put a supercharger on it. When the tranny broke the second time and took the rear end with it, the warranty company still had to pay. Thats why I have my MSP now... my dad didn't want me to have to put a third transmission and third clutch after the warranty period was over, so I got a new car.

But no matter how hard you beat on the car, as long as there isn't true evidence of it, they have to fix it. How can they prove that the axle broke racing when it is possible that he got a weak axle from the factory (even though we all know what really happened!)?

pontiac is not mazda, thats all i have to say...3rd tranny and 3rd clutch? wow, either your car was pulling some serious power and you were using bad clutches, or you can't drive.

How much do axles cost again for ours cars? 200-300 Well, thats what they were for my galant vr4 (149.50each) and it took me 2 hours to install them when mine broke and my car was also awd.
