MSD Install

Ok guys, I know a few of you have the MSD setup and installed.

My question is - where did you fit it? I wanna find the optimum place to drop mine....

I know MSD makes a special ignition system for our car, since we use a dual-coil, direct spark system. I haven't heard any users of this system have anything good to say, though.

What you would need is known as a DIS2 systems which is a digital box for a twin coil electronic igntion system. It runs about 300.00 if I remember right. I used to have one on my old miata. Some tips if you do install, you can't run any plug types other than copper core, be careful of the two-step module wires sometimes they will give you headaches, and pay particular attention to the dip switch settings. If you get the dip switch settings wrong the unit will not work. Other than that it's a pretty good unit, you won't notice much horsepower increase but it's worth it for fuel economy.

Well, I purchased the MSD. 6211 model.

it wasnt so bad price wise.

However, installing it is a b!tch... the wire colours don't match the instructions.... and so on and so forth...

At this point I am thinking to either return it or get a professional to install it.
