Make it fit? Fit where? The MSCAI does fit. Maybe you could be a little more clear with your question. What are your trying to accomplish?
You can run SRI and just attach your filter to the outside end of the MAF housing tube, if that's what you want to do. I'd still use the air straightener if you have one, or if not, get one. Your ECU will thank you.
If you're trying to make it shorter to get it up higher in the engine bay (concerned like Chicken Little about the dreaded "hydrolock" thing,) you are not going to get hydrolock unless you try to purposefully go through deep water at WOT. Any scenario other than that is about the same odds as getting struck by lightning, or getting run over by a team of run-away draft horses.
But if you are wanting to raise the filter up a bit, then you are losing the cold air from its optimal positioning and you might as well just connect the filter to the outside end of the short tube and go SRI.
