MS6 Problems

Hey guys I am trading in my 6s for a speed6 what if any problems should I be aware or prepared for? Thanks.

The only problem I've had is a faulty drivers side window switch. Bought it October 2006, driven 10,300 miles.

The only problem I have had is the thermostat sticking open, and the key problem that everybody has had. Other then it has been a fun 14,000 miles. She will be a year old on Sept 29th.

I've had 2 CEL's caused by 2 different faulty valves, a shutter valve and I believe a pcv valve and both before my first oil change.

32K km and I have had only the problems with the keyless ignition.

Not enough road. I would love to drive me MS6 cross-county!! I will the first chance I get. I might even take my roommate (wifey).

None car related but I have had to replace two tires already. One b/c of a pot hole in the rain and the SAME tire b/c of road hazard. 500 bucks on tires in two months.

No problems so far 28k...I did the clutch TSB due to "hard engagement" and WOW, my MS6 is a dream to drive. Good luck on your purchase. It seems like some people have had rotten luck and others like me (knock wood) have dodged some of the major issues.

Most problems for me was taken care of by warranty except for the clutch TSB (was declined after 3 dealer visits).

But other than that, the car brought me on long journeys comfortably and safely, 22k miles now.

The things replaced on my car: PCV valve (3 visits), keyless entry antenna in the trunk (2 visits), NAV unit (entire unit, 2 visits)....

No, i wasn't happy with the trip and time spent at the dealer but other than those, mechanically, car's running great...gotten used to the clutch too

Thanks for all the input, I'm looking foward to picking the car up. The V6 is just to slow and I don't want to void my warranty trying to get close to 300whp. I pick the car up in november. Thanks again for the quick responses.

no probelms as of yet with my car no CEL's..not even the key problem...althought there is actually one problem i have..even with all my mods its not fast enough yet.

I'd recommend going with an '07 as some of the issues the '06's had were fixed by then.

I've got an 07, been across the country twice with it (Ct. to Mn. and back) Had one CEL for a solenoid, ECM reflash at the same time at 2500mi. Other than that no problems. Quiet, smooth and goes like stink while getting 28mpg @ 80 MPH all day long on 93 octane. Lovin it!!
